I’m wondering if the team just packs it in for the season now. After last season’s UK loss they just seemed to fold and went through the motions for the rest of the season.
Kinda starting to question everything. Still hoping we can turn it all into positives, but just not seeing anything to give me some confidence that it will happen.
Giving up 75 and a 28 yard run doesn’t help either. Our rushing the ball was horrid! Our D was flat to start the first half of the game and settled a bit. But I would be exhausted being a defender for UF when the offense is constantly going 3 and 4 and out. Or giving them a short field off an interception.
It's not looking great, but we still have to give Billy a lot more time to prove himself. Don't overreact. Kentucky is very solid.
Wrong. It's not the time to question CBNs coaching ability. He will get 2 more years. Year 4 is when the rubber meets the road. it took Stoops 7 years. We are done with the 2.5 and out. Unfortunately there is no Saban walking through the door. Georgia hit the lottery with Smart but what other team in recent history hit the lottery like Georgia
Kentucky. Kentucky has a 3 game winning streak again UF. Kentucky. And these games haven't exactly been close.
I have always said I liked Billy but he needs an OC. Today….only the second half was f that statement holds true. Unprepared. As we usually are on away games. Terrible play calling.. per usual No leadership. Head coach show little to no emotions. Tells sideline reporter that we were ok with the special teams mistakes at halftime last week. Is also an OC and is not good at it. The DC is younger than the whiskey I drink. To quote Remember the titans Attitude reflects leadership. Where do our guys look for leadership?
I was going to say this in the game thread. This game looked exactly like the Utah game except for SEC talent. We got worked. We looked so sad in this one that Stoops called off the dogs at the end. That should be embarrassing to our staff.
We know they go old school smash mouth football every year and yet we can't seem to figure out how to prepare for that. STACK THE BOX on defense and play man press on the back end... make Leary pass the ball. It seems like we gave Leary far too much credit for his skills as a passer than was warranted. We could have easily won this game with the right defensive scheme/sets. However, we did make silly mistakes that a young team makes. One more class will change that, but will we learn to scheme up teams correctly on defense? The Special Teams coach should have taught our players NOT to leap over the blockers... if that's what really happened. Some say he was jumping straight up and got undercut. The refs did their part to help with sky passes that were called Pass interference. The false start when the Kentucky defender got into our backfield and yet the refs call movement on us? Holding on every single long run in the first half and no calls. Targeting on our player by theirs and yet, no call. The holding was the most obvious all game long... Same old story with these refs when we play that team. All of our metal mistakes are correctable...
Once again Mertz was efficient while under duress, I just need him to avoid those set-up throws like on the int. The WR had 0 chance of catching the ball without getting creamed.
No energy and not ready to play. Lack of strength, speed and toughness which seems to go hand in hand with disciplined play. our LB are light and it shows. DL is slow. Big butts matter on both sides and much, much better recruiting is needed. Youth on DL gives some hope. It seems we have been physically out played for a number of years. When the oppositions WR have bigger arms than your LB. Special teams were certainly short bus worthy. Can’t let all those punts bounce, fair catch them if you are not going to return it. Playcalling, I’m to beat down. Others have opined by now. Go Gators, please beat Vandy! it’s all correctable, one way or another
I liked when you called me saying he has no tempo "BS." Sooner or later people will believe their eyes when it comes to what is being done on the field.
