One other thing I'd say... This feels an awful lot like the 2016 Arkansas game where we got effectively run out of their stadium. And you could just sort of sense it then... Mac wasn't going to work. I'm hoping this isn't that - but I'd be lying if I said it didn't smell pretty similar.
I'll be positive too, Merze's complete percentage is decent. According to some, that's why we lost to KY last year with AR, LOL And as BN said two week ago, "This validated what we do".
I have to believe Billy knows he needs to bring in an OC. He says and does all the right things as the head man, but this is a glaring, obvious weakness that needs to be addressed. We killed 3 minutes on our last drive, down 3 scores, and only gained what....20 or so yards? That simply will not win games.
Billy has that bewildered look on his face. I honestly think he’s a bit lost right now, doesn’t know really what to do. The entire team needs so much fixing, everywhere, but he’s got to be the chief play caller. It’s way too much, imho. He’s really put himself in a bad spot now.
There will be 0 excuses for him if that becomes 0-4 after next week. The problem is not talent, and I'll leave it there.
Everyone including Charlotte knew/knows everything we are going to do all the time on offense. It’s almost literally an open book. Coach Armstrong is young, he got beat today, it will happen. That’s where you need to be able to get into a shootout.
Napier has better facilities and more support staff than any coach in UF history. the performance to this point is embarrassing at best.
Billy checks all the boxes in being a great college football coach, except the coaching part. He gets that straightened out it’s Natty time baby!
