If I'm BN, and my seat is red hot, I'd dang sure play the qb that would give me the best chance of winning. GM has yet to show he can deliver chunk plays and dink and dunks will not do it vs TAM. We cannot afford to fall behind TAM, and with our OL for us to have to play catch up our qb's will get hammered.

I am going to be honest with you- if Mertz is cleared then he gets his job back because you don't lose your job because of an injury- do I think Lags should play yes- if he is a good as we all think he is- then he will show out and become the starter

We're not in practice so it's hard to say. He may be better at checking out of bad plays, or have a more developed mid range game, or whatever. Point is he does have experience and that's a valid point in his favor.

Don't understand why believing DJ gives UF a better chance to win somehow means you are hating on Mertz. His ceiling is higher and this team needs everyhting he brings to the table.

Just curious, does anyone know what the player payroll difference is between Florida & Samford? I’m guessing it’s probably something like $6-8mil to 0? Maybe a few used courtesy cars and free pizza at a joint or two for most of their team. The field was literally tilting because of the talent differential standing on either side of the field.

No, I’m absolutely not trying to take anything away from DJ’s performance, he’s a bonafide superstar, we’re very lucky to have him here. Yes, I absolutely loathe these 1-AA games. No P4 SEC team should be playing them, we only play 12 games per year.
