Post Game Discussion: FLORIDA 45 vs. Samford 7

DJ surpassed my expectations for his first game. He is a difference maker. I like Mertz but he cannot do what DJ can. The biggest question will BN let his loyalty to GM override the talent of DJ? This will be the topic leading up the the TAM game.

 

I hope so. It was Samford.

 

Let’s see what happens next week but Lagway is the real deal. He’s our future. We need to see him next week and a lot.

 

The game thread had some oddly over supportive posters for Mertz, dismissing Lagway’s performance because it was against Samford. I’m sorry but there is a night and day difference. I want Lagway the rest of the way.

 

I apologize for my antics in the game thread, y'all. Why sometimes I just get so caught up in the emotion of it all and then I don't filter myself quite like I should. Glad the Gators won and by all means, we should savor every victory. Go Gators.

 

Napier needs to keep Lagway happy. He's better than Mertz already. Good game.

That was quite the coming out par-tay!

DJ was insanely good. Granted it was Samford, but talk about promise, the kid is already amazing. Watching him take control of this game washed that poop sandwich taste from the Miami debacle right out of my mouth! And, that's a good thing.

Best thing I've seen Gator-wise in quite some time. I thought our defense looked swarming and very athletic too. Glad they got Haden involved too. He's one big target. They used all the guys. Tre on that run. Man...

It's great to-be a Florida Gator.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I haven't had a drink in over a year and I got the boot. Maybe I phrased it wrong, but I still want this ************ out!

 

I think it may be that Mertz has played really well for us and is a great kid. That makes it harder to want him to sit.
