Honest question. With the money Oregon has and their transition to the BIG (even more money), taking off the fan glasses which do you think is the better job and easier path to playoffs?

I say Oregon

 

Oh I agree. Willie T & not so super Mario were both fools for leaving there. Oregon is a great job.

 

Billy Napier is one of the best young recruiters out there. He has fabulous relationships with the parents and the kids. He is truly making a difference in these young men's lives. The team is unified, and a brotherhood. Great.

My guess is Billy has one more year to do the other stuff:

Admit your errors. Put the kids in a position to win!! Win games. Don't blow games with sophomoric clock management errors. Coaching errors missed that FG, not the kid. Hire the best OC in the business. Hire the best Special teams guy in the business. Admit what you can't do well. Hire people to do what you can't do well. You don't have the time to figure out what you don't do well. Evolve, have a paradigm shift! Delagate, hire. Hire professionals with many years of experience. Seasoned professionals.

These are all fixable things. I love the kids we have. But the "D" is always out of position. They are easily fooled. It's coaching, and some learning curve stuff.

I'm praying for Napier to improve and win.

I think Chadwell is intriguing. Will be interesting to see how he does going forward. Does the success at Coastal/Liberty transition to the SEC?

I think Napier should go after Trautwein for OL 100%.

 

Oregon has everything but local talent to be a juggernaut. The Coach to get them "over the hump" will be revered like SOS is to UF.

USCe should’ve hired Chadwell, he was the perfect fit there, imho. Not sure how anything translates into coaching in the SEC before you get there. The Urban formula is the model though, transition thru 2 stair step programs first.

 

If he's fired he'll also get a nice show cause penalty, he'll run back to the NFL.

Also his turning the corner at Michigan just so happens to coincide with cheating, no thanks.

 

I think Shemar James has been a vocal leader on the field. Hopefully that continues from the sideline and in the locker room after his season-ending injury and surgery.

 

I am all for riding the billy train now if we won’t have urban back.
I think we should fire the ad now; dude has single handedly destroyed football and basketball.

Have a neutral ad and billy might have to fire some his friends.

We can’t continue to use the logic that we need more talent but then rip into Jimbo for saying he can’t coach despite the out of this world talent he has on the roster. At some point, it comes down to coaching and the coaching doesn’t show me that if he had “more talent” these coaching blunders will go away.

he needs to show more growth as a coach than i feel the players on the roster need to show more growth.

 

Yesterday’s loss was 100% coaching and 0% talent.

 

I think it’s both. If he’s still here as long as dumbo has been there, it would be a different story. We are a year and a half in. We have no choice but to see this out.

 

Somewhat true. Yet if we had the talent, it wouldn’t come down to that.
