Except she's not 80. Her selection makes trump the old senile option. .

No administration officials were on the Sunday talk shows defending Joe Biden, who will be gone by the end of the week. It looks like the Democrats are stuck with Harris unless they have an August surprise up their sleeve at the DNC in Chicago. The choice of venue is interesting, considering there were 100 people shot on the 4th.

Unless another shoe drops, Biden will be the nominee. There is an intense pushback going on in the grassroots about removing him. Just because the media gets more eyeballs, clicks and engagement with Trump as president doesn't mean they get to pick the Dem nominee.

I see no evidence of Biden being "gone by the end of the week." He said he'll be gone only if God comes down and tells him to be gone. Gee, I hope there will be live coverage of God's visit to the White House.

CNN says Biden is "fighting for his political life." He's over 80, he has been a politician for some 50 years. He hasn't had a political life already? It's not time for retirement like a normal old man? No, he's going to take the country down with him. Trump is a traitor, and Biden is enabling him. IMO that makes them both traitors. America's democracy is a dead man walking.

Joe sent a letter to congressional Democrats this weekend stating he is committed to run and believes he can win. So there it is. He’s running and I don’t think there’s much that could change his mind.

I suspect that if a change is made it will be made moments after the last denial. It would be political suicide to admit to thinking of withdrawing.

Ly'n Biden is going nowhere and doesn't want to go anywhere giving up his career and the gravy train his family is accustomed to. He can't be forced out by the democratic party. He can only be removed from office under the 25th Amendment presuming the cabinet and Kamala Harris who has been covering for him is willing to act as she should under the constitution. Beyond that, it would take 2/3 votes in the house and senate to remove Biden from office. I'm not so sure the republicans would join the fight. They should let the democratic party implode. After covering for Biden for so long, the democratic party does not deserve to be bailed out less than 4 months from the election just because Biden is a now known loser in the 2024 election.

When the Democrats want to get something done, they don’t let rules, regulations, bylaws, or individual personalities stand in the way. The leader's and well-known supporters' voices are loud, and they are saying things you cannot walk back. The babysitter and crackhead cannot stop the Dem machine.

My guess is Michelle is getting bombarded by everybody in the DNC to enter the fray, at least join Harris as her running mate. I'm not sure what the law says about her becoming the primary candidate because she wasn't voted by the people, but she can be on the ticket if Harris were to replace Biden and she asked her to be her running mate. Would Michele do that? She has been pretty vocal she does not want to be President, but what about VP?

Michelle won’t be running. Her family is the most important thing to her and during Barack’s tenure as POTUS they were under constant threats to their lives - the number increased so much above normal that the SS could not nearly investigate them all. Do you remember the shots fired into the WH while her kids and mother were there or the ricin coated letter. I don’t think she wants any part of more of that.

Security incidents involving Barack Obama - Wikipedia.

Cool to speculate but its about as real as fantasy football.

Nobody is asking Michelle to run the country's government. Michelle is popular. So is Taylor Swift who will be 35 soon. Neither will be a candidate.

Maybe Jill Biden? She seems to be doing a good job in place of her husband. :)

I wonder how many voters made their choice on what they WANT to see happen....versus what they THINK will happen.......

LOL! Kamerluh's utter stupidity does not make anyone else seem old and demented--it makes them look competent by comparison.

    See Doh! Biden.

"The overwhelming number of unprincipled Republican lawmakers who joined and support him did so out of weakness and fear of losing their own political office as Trump's racist filled rhetoric gained popularity among people motivated by anger, fear, and resentment..."

First point: "racist filled rhetoric"? = (at worst) a couple of comments liberally construed as dog whistle racism.... LOL! @ the hyperbolic drama!

Second point: It's not 'unprincipled' to despise and oppose Leftism, socialism, wokism, omnipotent government, single unified political "Party"* (* is it still a 'party' if there's no opposition?), globalism, anti-Americanism, anti-God/religion, and the rest of the Democrat party's "principles"; while it is mostly pragmatic, make no mistake--it is a pragmatism firmly grounded in principles.
