So let's recap.
Orange is the new black enters the thread and says all white liberals want a war on white people.
White liberals disagree with him. Ask him to back up that statement with proof, or articles, or anything.
He refuses, tells everyone they are stupid and ignorant.
While saying he knows what's really going on and telling us we know nothing.
And then declaring liberals are hateful and are the problem in america.

We're on this message board, I think most of us, because we are hungry to hear opinions of others and debate the evidence they bring to the table.

The thing is, I think I’ve given you what I’ve got. It doesn’t seem to be enough for you.
My position is strong in my eyes. I say guys like you are unaware of your inner feelings about racism. I’m saying that the real issue is that you really hate white cons. By siding with the racism cause, you’re happy to take consistent fire at those actual racists, albeit a very small group of people.
I am also saying that by doing so, systemic racism talk, you are creating more division than there could be.
In conclusion, you and a few others on this board are not making America a healthier, happy place by shouting racist so frequently.

Well let me tell you a few things then, some that might surprise you:

• I have several conservative friends.
• One of my closest friends and my most important mentor is a staunch conservative.
• I am constantly analyzing my feelings about racism in a micro and also macro context. Especially because it's been touching tangentially on some research I've been doing lately, so I've been reading about it a lot, both in the scholarly and popular literature.
• I refuse to believe that ignoring something makes it better. Systemic racism is not a boogeyman that creates hate, but certainly, ignoring the effects can certainly do so, especially in more marginalized populations.
• I think in some cases, like with woke culture, it's been taken way too far, but certainly, the concept of systemic racism is something that I think is healthy to discuss and analyze. It's those kind of open discussions that can lead people to understand and learn about racist policies like redlining.
• I don't think my conversations on this message board are profound enough to "make America unhealthier." In addition to my work, which benefits people through their education - many of whom are non-traditional folks looking to improve themselves for a better paycheck - I also adjunct at a Minority serving institution and I've helped advise and consult for community projects that focus on underserved populations. So stop with the hyperbole and exaggeration.

 

I also want to point out that my good friend's partner, who is literally crazy, thinking that jews are the new nazi's and that black people are all out to rape everyone, and that trans people are out to diddle kids in every bathroom... despite those differences and regular arguments we get in to and his open obvious admitted racism, we do just fine hanging out. You can't just take people in slices. People are complex.
