But he wouldn't have scored enough if Burney didn't intercept TD pass in the end zone.

That's my point, AR wouldn't have won if not for the game saving play by his teammate just as Mertz could have won if not for the game costing mistakes by his teammates. You win AND lose as a team

There’s no guarantee that pass was going to be complete for a TD even if Burney didn’t pick it off, as it was thrown into traffic and the intended receiver was heavily covered.

Anyway that’s besides the point. My point is that UF found a way to beat virtually the same Utah team with their starting QB and star TE last season. It’s pretty evident who propelled the team to that win. That’s no knock on this years QB, it’s just stating a fact.

Run and run hard was the big secret at the end of that game and pray for an interception. If AR had to use his legs in the NFL like that much, he will never see 30. Let’s hope he can be successful using his legs sparingly and have them as a deterrent to soften the coverages. He can run for 1000 yard a year and have the shelf life of a rb otherwise.

Our team had a bad defense. The only way to win games was for AR to do the heavy lifting. He did that sometimes and others not so much. AR was at his best when he ran with reckless abandon. He has to change that if he wants to have an nfl career. Yes, I think he could have beat Vandy by running like a madman.

That AR didn’t show up to some games. He was inconsistent but to me, it was the mindset. Tge scoring drive against Utah at the end, he put his head down and ran hard . That mindset wasn’t always there for him. I think he was trying to develop from the pocket and abandon his legs at times. Really, tgats smart for his future as it’s tge only way to be successful in tge nfl but perhaps not his best toolbox at tge time to win the immediate game at hand.

I'm about as calm as I can be without the medical examiner getting involved. I'm good.

Last year was AR's try out for the NFL. Nothing more, nothing less. IMHO, he didn't care about W's and L's.
