That's not an answer,of course. No question that they shouldn't have announced it today, simply because it would give Fox and the other grandstanding Republicans a chance to disparage Biden ... as though they really need an excuse.
But the idea that Biden hates America ... good grief.

Biden is just the front man and they announced it today deliberately.

My wife called me to tell me and I thought the same thing. Turned on the TV and knew it was a much bigger deal. I was still on the phone with her and watched the second plane hit. Told her to come home right away, called my office to let them know I wasn't coming in, and we spent the next 20 hours or so watching everything unfold.

Was watching a documentary yesterday and learned that the first firefighter who died was from the impact of a jumper.

Tragic day all around. Still hard to fathom.

I’ve seen no evidence that he’s being controlled by unseen puppet masters, if that’s what you’re claiming.

So glad they’ve passed but the ranks of the GOP and evangelical Christian’s are still rife with them. Their megaphones aren’t quite as loud is all.

Up to 9/11 Iran routinely protested the US (great satan). After 9/11 their protests turned to ones of sympathy.

Reactions to the September 11 attacks - Wikipedia

    • [IMG] Iran: Iranian president Mohammad Khatami[81][82][83][84] and Supreme Leader Ali Khameneicondemned and denounced the attacks and the terrorists who carried them out. Iranians who gathered for a soccer match in Tehran two days after the 9/11 attacks observed a moment of silence. There was also a candlelight vigil. Huge crowds attended candlelit vigils in Iran, and 60,000 spectators observed a minute's silence at Tehran's soccer stadium.[85][86] On Tuesday, September 25, in 2001, Khatami meeting British Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, said: "Iran fully understands the feelings of the Americans about the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington on September 11." He said although the American administrations had been at best indifferent about terrorist operations in Iran (since 1979), the Iranians instead felt differently and had expressed their sympathetic feelings with bereaved Americans in the tragic incidents in the two cities." He also stated that "Nations should not be punished in place of terrorists."[87] According to Radio Farda's website, in 2011, on the anniversary of the attacks, United States Department of State, published a post at its blog, in which the Department thanked Iranian people for their sympathy and stated that they would never forget Iranian people's kindness on those harsh days. This piece of news at Radio Farda's website also states that after the attacks' news was released, some Iranian citizens gathered in front of the Embassy of Switzerland in Tehran, which serves as the protecting power of the United States in Iran, to express their sympathy and some of them lit candles as a symbol of mourning.[88]

    - IRAN: REALITY, OPTIONS AND CONSEQUENCES, PART 2-NEGOTIATING WITH THE IRANIANS: MISSED OPPORTUNITIES AND PATHS FORWARD

Within days, the Iranian government did come out to
strongly condemn the attack, and thousands of Iranians took to
the streets in Tehran in candlelight vigils to mourn those who
had perished in the United States. Even Iran's supreme leader,
Ali Khamenei, took the extraordinary step
    of unequivocally
condemning al Qaeda and its attack on the United States in a
Friday prayer sermon that was broadcast to tens of millions of
Iranians and Shiite followers throughout the Middle East.

We had an opening to work with Iran constructively - we did for a bit after 9/11 with common goals surrounding Afghanistan. In 2003 Iran proposed a comprehensive negotiation with US but GWB rejected it out of hand.

Therefore, by the spring of 2003, the dialog was at an
impasse. It is in this context that one should evaluate the
Iranian offer to negotiate a comprehensive resolution of
differences with the United States. With the bilateral channel
at an impasse, Tehran sent this offer in early May 2003 through
Switzerland, the U.S.-protecting power in Iran, as Secretary
Rice and former administration officials have acknowledged. In
the offer, everything would be on the table, including Iran's
material support for Hamas, for PIJ, for Hizballah as well as
its nuclear ambitions and role in Iraq. But the Bush
administration rejected this proposal out of hand and cutoff
the bilateral channel with the Iranians less than 2 weeks

    later.

It can’t be said enough, we picked the wrong horse in SA. Terrible choice over Iran which culturally is much more aligned with the West.

If Biden is just a front man then I guess his age and ability to act as POTUS should have no impact on the election. Right?

The Iranian people and the Iranian regime are two different things. The people are/were progressive by Islamic standards. The mullahs who took power and installed crazed theocratic rule after the Islamic revolution? Not so much.

Folks, those bluebirds don't always work as links, even with reloading. At least not for me with my junk computer. Can someone tell me what "they announced" (whoever "they" are) that shows "hatred for America"?
