There very well may be flaws, but I was responding to the comment that TCU "played a joke schedule." The two SoS sources I could find have them in the top 15. Keep in mind that Big12 teams play a 9-game conference schedule.

I think for many of us, it's just a matter of wanting the best possible options to stop Georgia from winning another title. I have to admit, I didn't see TCU staying at #3 as an option, but I like it better than TCU at #4 with Ohio State jumping them. If we're all being honest, this would probably be a better year for the old 2-team format and having Georgia face Michigan for the national championship. Everybody else has an argument against them as for why they shouldn't necessarily get another shot. To me, none of Alabama, TCU, or Ohio State had a legit gripe if they were to be left out. There will be years where an expanded playoff make sense, but I don't believe this is one of them. That said, I'm happy to see Georgia penalized (for no apparent reason!) by having to play Ohio State rather than TCU in the opening round. I think it will be a tough out for Georgia.

Do you remember when holding up 4 fingers meant "4th Quarter", not we snuck in four times? (Looking at you OSU). I would have given the nod to USC, they were undefeated in the regular season, which I think should have been a consideration vs OSU, played a marginally tougher schedule according to current ESPN rankings (38 vs 39) and were basically without their star quarterback for much of the game. The favoritism shown OSU is the reason I dislike them more than both Georgia and Alabama combined.

Brain fart, USC was not undefeated in the regular season. I even watched the first game against Utah.

Southern Cal was not undefeated during the regular season. They lost to Utah both in the regular season and the conference championship game.

Usually, yes. Not this time. To channel Churchill about supporting Stalin during WW2: “If Hitler were to invade Hell, I should at least make a favourable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons.”

So here’s my favourable [sic] reference:

I live in Dayton Ohio. I am so tired of Buckeye BS about how good they are when they play a 1 game season and then get beat by 3 scores. I was told so many times today that the score was not that bad, and that OSU is clearly a top 4 team. I'm calling BS that OSU is a top 4 team.
