Yes, I remember the music video era. I just never watched the turn to reality TV. I remember the craze for season 1 of Survivor and got forced into a couple episodes. That’s literally all I’ve seen of those type shows period. I never got the appeal. Never watched survivor or big brother type shows either.

Early Real World era wasnt really the turn, that's when people still bought music. The turn happened around the time Napster came out, and they became more about Jersey Shore and endless Road Rules Challenges. Now its not even that anymore.

But apparently Beavis and Butthead actually started the year after Real World. 1993 vs 1992. I guess my memory is slightly messed up, I would have pegged real world as more late 90’s than early.
