We won some in 1994 with AD. He was a total beast.

While we had Brown and the Thin Finn shooting threes we were really a physical team that played great D.

I should have said up to about the year 2000.
Since then just gatorbait, gatorcountry and a lot of blogs, but I hear you, not much coming from them in a lot of ways. Hope you are having a happy Thanksgiving. The Pitt game was exciting and was able to share it with family.

He's still around. Does land development the right way, with mixed-use and transit-oriented projects.

I know. I would occasionally run into him before games. I taught him a few engineering courses at UF.

When my wife did more real estate law she worked with him a bit.

Thing I like about Samuel is that when he goes up with the ball at the rim, he's either gonna dunk it or get fouled. No soft stuff.

True - one I can think of was a WVU game in Gville during the Kasey Hill years. We ran them out of the gym. Jan 2016. We won 88 - 71.

Thanks, Planet. I watched the whole thing. I know it's early, but it looks like coach G has put together an athletic team. We got some big guys that can play around the rim. Just need to get better with the FTs cause they'll get fouled alot.

That’s a good point. Way too much fading away with our former bigs. Muscle up and create contact. Condon and Samuel do a good job catching the ball cleanly (tough to do often times as we’ve unfortunately been accustomed to seeing) and making a confident quick move without hesitating. If the shot gets blocked cleanly just go up the same way next time. If you hesitate under there or fade away you might as well hand the ball to the official.

Friday morning Gainesville Sun had no mention of the Wednesday night Gator basketball game.

They don't have a Saturday paper anymore so nothing there. Funny that there is no Saturday sports page given that local HS football gets about 20 times the coverage of Gator basketball.

Sunday will be all about how we lost to FSU or by some miracle beat them. Oops. No it won't. The game will be over too late (after 5 PM) so no news on that until Monday.

The Thursday paper was available as a pdf for print subs. But even that one had nothing about the Pitt game, or the wbb game against Columbia. Who knows what actually important information we no longer learn about

I lived in Gainesville long enough to know businesses don’t give a flying hoot about basketball. Not even sports bars would have the games on until you asked them. It was truly disappointing. And this was even when Donovan was the HC.

Monday's Gainesville Sun had a story about three take-aways from losing to Baylor. Please stop with the stories about three take-aways!

Maybe it’s time to stop giving them your money. The game was televised and has been available on demand since minutes after the game was over. Watch it with your own eyes. Why do you need them to explain it to you?
