I'll start his own thread for this. Does anyone have an update on PC? To me, his health is critical for our success in the 2nd half of this season. If healthy, he would be our 3rd starter with Jac coming in to set up or when needed. I know last year was his back, and then had a set back with his shoulder. Need to know if he has any shot in coming back this season.
Was first reported back by SEC play but he had a set-back with no further info thus I would not hold my breath until f his return in the immediate future. Hopefully good news soon.
At the game Saturday I asked Jeff Cardozo if he knew anything. He did not and just assumed he should be still trying to make it back. I suggested he should ask someone in the press to bring it up after the game since he has little chance to ask Sully much on the air. I'm hoping when the PC from today is posted we might get something.
That would be called good reporting if so! Thank you again Matherly. Always on top of everything around this team.
Have only listened a couple of times via radio but I though Kelley was really solid in calling baseball games.
Matherly will be here shortly with all the stats to show whether it is Cardozo or Kelly who is the better broadcaster for Gators baseball. Stand by . . . . . . . . . .
Funny you should ask . . . . . . . . . . As long as Cardozo doesn't try to sing or talk about something he spoke to Pat Dooley about I still like Cardozo better than Kelly by a factor of 2.45.
As far as Coppola, we got nothing from the press conference. I'll ask around Tuesday and see if anyone cares to share. On a different note, before the game Sunday I did see Jake Clemente come jogging back in from the bullpen. Hey at least before you can throw you have to prove you can jog in from the pen. Baby steps right? (sarcasm) I joke because it feels like this is all we are getting is even knowing if a player dresses out. Maybe someone from 24/7 will read this and throw us a bone.
My only complaint about Kelly is that like Mick (but not as bad as Mick did) he gets too excited when the other team does something good. Jeff: Well, that’s out of here. Sean: It’s a HOME RUN!!!!! Geez! It was the other team! I don’t remember Mick getting excited when GA scored a touchdown, but he sure whooped it up when the opposing baseball team hit a homer. Used to drive me crazy and Sean is almost as bad. Rant over.
I was just thinking about that from this weekend. I like Sean, however this is the South and every schools announcer is a homer. He needs to become a little more homerish IMO.
Not correct, the rumor is Coppola, who is all of 6-8, was seen with Egbunu going thru dunking drills over at Littlewood. Nothing better to stretch out that back than dunking drills.
