It's not about governance. It's about making Trump look good, not stealing any limelight from Trump, and of course, total and undying loyalty to Trump no matter what.
Once the election is over the vice president cannot be fired although i guess Trump could always suggest that his supporters hang Doug Burgum. Trump expressed support for hanging Mike Pence
Maybe he uses Biden’s ideas and selects Ukrainian President Putin or poaches Biden’s VP Trump. I do find it somewhat amusing hearing people lament about looks being important trump and not seeing the irony behind Harris being picked exclusively on her looks. I will admit some of the post on here are funny. The Burgum Looking like GW and Trump liking that sort of thing was pretty damn witty .
Trump likes spunk, so Id lean toward Vance. Although It wouldnt surprise me if he wants him in a cabinet position, like secretary of state. Rubio or Vance for SS, Vance or Burgum for VP would be my picks right now.
He does seem smitten with him, and Jr. sings his praises. I want Carson. I trust Carson. No one owns Carson. No Rubio. He is untrustworthy yet very likable at times. Hell no on Burgum. The VP pick should be for the guy who will help us get it right in the next four years. The America First crowd should choose the 2028 candidate, not Trump.
It’s a shame Vance has turned into such a trump bootlicker. His feelings on abortion are concerning but otherwise he seems like a good dude. Smart, served in the military - seemingly capable of empathy (I read his book a few years back and it was quite good). Not an evangelical despite being raised as one. Worlds better than Pence.
Betting odds for Vance are starting to pull away. Not quite “favored” vs the field but he’s sitting at around a 45% chance.
