    Silliness.

Someone sticks to their guns and never changes positions on an idea or their perception of a person?
If they are on your team: Principled!
If they are on the bad team: Stubborn! Unable to process new info.

Someone changes their opinion or position on an idea or their perception of a person?
If they are on your team: Evolved! Matured. Open minded.
If they are on the bad team: No backbone! Stooge. Bootlicker.

    Carry on.

Boy, this should really give Biden a spring in his gait. I wouldn't be surprised to see him do a backflip!

Is that actually what he says? Or does he say that broken marriages ..even violent ones that may benefit adults still hurt kids?

Because that is what is said in the clip I saw.

Bottom line: JD Vance was an anti-Trumper.

    Until he wasn’t.

You forgot to cite the DNC for your remarks. I know it was unintentional, but give the original author its due.

J/K I think she's going to be speaking tonight at the RNC Convention. I will listen to what she has to say for sure. Many people lied her and felt that she would be a great POTUS... she still might one day be POTUS.

Yeah, that was harsh so I deleted it. She's still a RINO, but not a Mitt Romney type offensive one.

Breaking up violent marriages greatly benefits kids in my opinion. My wife came from a violent home. Growing up in that environment was much worse for her (in my opinion) than when her Mom finally left him (after he beat her so bad she peed blood). ALL violent marriages should be dissolved immediately if possible.

Regardless of the semantics, or that either interpretation is a highly questionable opinion, in what world is he an educated authority to make such an assertion?

The less moderates that register as Republicans the more power the MAGA wing has. That's just numbers with the closed primaries. MAGA is fine with RINO changing their registration as long as they can retain allegiance on a few key items or fear of the left, lesser of 2 evils.

I believe this is an accurate quote. It would have made sense if he stuck to talking about people getting divorced just because they're unhappy. Not sure why he thought adding violence to the mix made any sense. Perhaps he clarified later, but I don't recall.

JD Vance Suggests People in ‘Violent’ Marriages Shouldn’t Get Divorced

“This is one of the great tricks that I think the sexual revolution pulled on the American populace, which is the idea that like, ‘well, OK, these marriages were fundamentally, you know, they were maybe even violent, but certainly they were unhappy. And so getting rid of them and making it easier for people to shift spouses like they change their underwear, that’s going to make people happier in the long term,’” Vance said.

“And maybe it worked out for the moms and dads, though I’m skeptical. But it really didn’t work out for the kids of those marriages,” Vance continued. “And that’s what I think all of us should be honest about, is we’ve run this experiment in real time. And what we have is a lot of very, very real family dysfunction that’s making our kids unhappy.”

JD Vance suggests the UK is the first Islamist country with nuclear weapons.

With that fancy Yale degree, how is he so stupid to not realize Pakistan is an Islamist country?

Is Vance just MTG with a penis?

Interestingly the biggest Trump constituency is divorced men. Kinda fits the revanchist theme lol.

I tend to agree. And I wont waste much time defending a ticket that I dont intend to vote for.

But to say he said they should stay in those marriages is inaccurate. Like i said. He worded it poorly, but he doesnt seem to be saying women should stay and get abused. Its a real leap from his actual words.

You knew it wouldn't be Rubio. Too closely tied to sane conservatives (Bushs) and would be right with that liberal commie Mike Pence when it came to fulfilling Trump's orders to illegally overturn an election.

He calls himself "skeptical" and says "I think", not sure he is asserting it as provable fact.
Pretty sure he is doing what literally every politician does. Rendering an opinion.
