It’s been about 2.5 hours since this news broke of the merger between golf leagues.
I for one am dumbfounded. Realizing there are legitimate fans of LIV golf, I was never a fan of the league. I am a tried and true PGA fan, you earn your way through the tour. The tour that does so much local charity work in each city where there’s an event. A tour built on the legacies of Hogan, Snead, Bobby Jones, Nicklaus and dozens of others. This merger seems like a sellout. By all accounts and reports, LIV was floundering, staying alive by deep Saudi pockets.
My hat is off to Rory, and Tiger. (Never was a fan of Tiger until he stood up for the PGA). They defended the legacy. Was a big Mickelson fan too, but once He joined LIV, I stopped. His recent chirping, just solidifies what kind of person he is…and what does he care, he’s got his 200 million to coast on. His silence at the Masters Champions dinner should tell you everything you need to know.
Will be interesting to see how this all plays out. For now, there are a lot of pissed off PGA Tour players.

It has always been about the money regardless of this charade .Being a long time PGA fan I fell out of favor for the PGA (and certain players )when they vilified players I followed that left for the money. Mickelson ,as wacky as he is being portrayed (he was a is a great player), there was a lot of truth to what he was saying. This whole thing could have been worked out if cooler heads prevailed. Get back to playing golf.
