Considering what their recruiting class rankings were back then that's to be expected when you have a talent like that depart. class recruiting rank
    2009 : 35th
    2010 : 25th

A one year snapshot doesn’t mean much vs a multi year consistent trend. Consistent improvement is what we are all looking for.

Is he the one with the playsheet or just drawing an increased paycheck like R Sale for us? I guess we will know when they take the field today

He will call plays...I saw a video over the summer where Freeze is going to let someone else call the plays.

Schemes only work when you have the players to execute them

If we keep losing and under-performing, and he does not hire a great OC and Jersey CEO, he’ll be watching college football from his recliner sooner than later.

So, without a CJ Spiller type player we should not expect BN offense to do anything? Am I following the logic correctly?

Correct the penalties and the offense moved pretty well. We had short yardage on second down a bunch, only to end up in a third a long because of a penalty.

This is an area I 100% agree with is Napes needs to hire an offensive coordinator. It really wasn’t his prowess anywhere he has been. Hugh Freeze, Jimbo and others have all hired OC’s. Napes gift is being the CEO of the organization. Hope pride doesn’t get in the way of what he needs to do.

Yes, without Percy, our offense was not nearly as explosive as the year before. Wuerffle wouldn’t have beef nearly as effective without Fred Taylor in the backfield. That’s just how it works. Schemes are great but they don’t work without the players to execute them.

I don’t care what he may have done at Clemson 14 years ago. He ain’t doing it here. Not yet, at least. Not even close.

This is why you have to be careful what you wish for. For all the knocks on his lack of accuracy and the questions about his effort, he still found a way to beat a Utah team that was better and healthier than the Utah team we lost to this season.

There’s no doubt of what AR is capable of. He just wasn’t able to put it all together while he was here. He was at his best when he ran like he thought he was the next coming of Earl Campball. I for one thought he may have been on heisman watch going into the season. We had expectations that he wasn’t able to deliver. Yes, there was some disappointment at times and yes, I question whether he wanted to preserve his health or win more at times.
Either way it really was, I have no hard feeling towards the kid if he was looking at that 30million dollars closer than he was beating Vandy or Kentucky. I’m happy for AR . I’m happy for his opportunity to play on Sundays and provide for his family for the rest of his life. He is blessed beyond football no matter how that turns out for him. If he never wins a single game, I give him a high five for winning at life.
