Pence is complicated. He enabled Trump for years, but I'm glad he was in office as opposed to the many others who probably would have done whatever Trump demanded. I listened to an interesting discussion awhile back with Judge Michael Luttig, who'd been appointed to the 4th Circuit by Bush 41. Luttig was instrumental in sounding the alarms when he got word of the plan after getting a call while at dinner from Pence's outside counsel. Interestingly, John Eastman clerked for Luttig.
