You yourself are an admitted drunk driver who is hooked on the worlds most addictive drug. I don’t think you are necessarily a dry drunk nor do I think the some of the people you know and presumably care about are drunks for driving impaired.

Times were changing when I first started working in Corporate America but I distinctly remember that the people taking cigarette breaks weren’t high level contributors. I haven’t worked anywhere in over a decade (and I’ve been in offices with 1000+ people) where people take smoke breaks.

 

And you probably don't even realize that your original post about Pelosi being a drunk driver was also a deflection.

As for your smoking, it's gotta be the dumbest habit of all time. No one gets to the end of their (often shortened) lives and says, 'I sure am glad I got myself addicted to cigarettes and spent all that money on them. It was totally worth it'.

 

Now stop making shit up. I said I got behind the wheel once or twice after drinking over 50 years ago and was probably not legally intoxicated. Fact is I do not drink, I drank a little socially when I was a young man but even then was never a drunk. Unlike Mr Pelosi who is old enough to know better I was probably 20 and may have had a beer or two. Am I proud of that, no but am being honest. You will never find anybody beyond my school days who has ever seen me drink as much as a beer. OK I lied, I took a sip of a rum & OJ 30+ years ago at an AAU baseball tournament but poured it out as soon as the other coaches weren't looking.

LMAO I haven't had a drink in over 30 years. Talk about deflect and condemn, this is about a grown man driving drunk and injuring someone. You defend him probably because you drink yourself. Then you condemn me because I had a beer and drove a time or two when I was in school. Pretty damn funny. I stole a water melon from in front of a fruit stand once, I think it was in 1969 does that put me at the same level of thugery as George Floyd who was "trying to get his life together after a life of crime"?

 

The fact that you readily admit you were drinking and got behind the wheel should make you pause before commenting on others. As I mentioned earlier, your age doesn't matter, and it wouldn't matter for anyone who may have been hurt due to your recklessness. A 20-year-old Gator515151 is not a child...just like Pelosi's husband, you should know better. But I'm only being judgmental because you are quick to judge others for the same mistake that you also made.

And the fact that you said you didn't drink enough to be intoxicated is very subjective. I'm pretty sure most people who get DWI's will say the same thing...until their BAC shows otherwise. Many of my friends said the same thing...until they were charged with a DWI.

If anything, your lack of sympathy for a man who was bludgeoned by a hammer just shows a real lack of class...sorry, it's a bad look.

 

So you honestly believe Paul Pelosi does not make a habit of driving intoxicated? Folks on this board have a habit of forgiving politicians of their sins after 20 or 30 years have passed, of course unless they are Republicans. You know Biden may have said some racist things back in the 80s but he has grown since then. That said I don't think enough time has passed since Pelosi got drunk and caused an accident behind the wheel to say he doesn't drive drunk.

 

Did you ever cheat on a test in school? Does that make you a cheater? Did you ever steal a candy bar or another kids toy when you were a kid? Does that make you a thief? Now if you stole something a couple of months ago I think it would be fair to call you a thief.

 

Pelosi may had a habit of driving intoxicated or his accident could have been a one off. Whatever the case that still doesn't excuse a break-in at his residence and an attack which could have very well been fatal were it not for the timely intervention of the police.

Neither one of us knows whether he has made a habit out of it. I can assume he was like you, and was a one shot deal.
