    Respectfully, you don't know that.

One does need to be able to teach.

By definition, that's kind of what it means. People here aren't respecting his knowledge and abilities, and aren't valuing his experience and potential contribution.

You can't be serious. It take more than having played the position to be able to coach it. There have been many who played, but can't coach.

He’d still do a better job.

Apparently you think that if someone questions Tim being offensive coordinator at UF due to lack of experience as a coach is disparaging him. That's not the case. Knowledge and onfield abilities don't make one a coach. People that believe that are the same ones who think, well I have a degree in education, so I can teach. Doesn't work that way. I think very many, in fact most, respect his knowledge and abilities about football, but everyone who has been a successful football player hasn't been a successful coach. People don't want Kerwin even though he's been a HC , won state championships in high school coaching, won conference championships at JU, won a national championship at Valdosta State, and whose only loss this season is to Arkansas, and he's far more qualified to be offensive coordinator at UF. He's at least proven he's capable of coaching. And even that doesn't prove he's capable of being a successful coordinator at UF. Having said that, does it mean I'm disparaging him?

So you know for certain he can't coach and would be a bad OC?

You have some serious projection going on here. Too much to even address, and I don't feel like getting into a point-vs-point battle with you on a Friday night.

Never said he couldn't coach, but just like UF isn't the place to learn to be a HC, it also isn't a place for on the job training for OC.

Nice, the classic "I don't have a cogent response to your points, so I'll throw in something I learned in 1st grade."

I already told you I just don't feel like arguing with you about this all night. It's not because I don't think there are merits to both sides of the argument. I just don't care enough.

Just do a weekend at Bernie’s bit. It’d be a better show no doubt.

Tim has never coached a day in his life. You can’t get a premier oc job with zero experience, that’s rediculous.

Florida isn’t where you get your feet wet. I mean, Spurrier coached a bit before he came to Florida right? It’s probably never happened in the history of ever.

I believe Spurrier's first coaching job was at Florida as a positional coach with no previous coaching experience, and then he eventually returned to Florida years later as the head coach. So... it could be argued that you can get your fet wet in coaching at Florida.

Only thing Eric Berry is scared of is horses. If you need a good laugh, search Eric Berry is afraid of horses on YouTube. I have cried tears laughing at that video over the years.

Yeah, kind of like Bowden's last 4 years of coaching.
