On Jun 30th, per another site, while in Nebraska where his fiancé is from, who he was set to marry in a week. Underwent 8 hours of surgery, and currently has no feeling in his lower body, and being transferred to a Denver hospital. Don’t see it on any media, but some posters are confirming it through friends of his.
The Denver Hospital has to be Craig Hospital which is a world-renowned rehabilitation hospital that exclusively specializes in neurorehabilitation. He'll receive great care and hopefully he achieves a great recovery.
Payers for a great Gator. We on here wish for a full recovery and to see you celebrate our next Basketball Championship!
Assuming it’s true, Why does it always seem that it’s good people this happens to? Just terrible, hope he is able to recover.
it is true. It was a roll over, single-car accident. He was banged up pretty badly. I do think there is optimism that he will be ok.
Pulling for you Patric. For me the picture of this huge man flying horizontally across the court in pursuit of a loose ball will always be one of my favorite bits of Gator history.
I think he is through the worst of it. Multiple injuries, over 8 hours of surgery! Patrick is a fighter. This will be a long recovery for him. Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. We love you Parick. You will bounce back from this terrible accident!
Don't care about being a ex Gator as a good man hope he makes it. So much life still to live. GOD Bless YOU.

Not to make excuses, bc you are right… but i understand it was a very rural road with very, very little traffic. Again- should’ve been wearing, but perhaps the setting gave a false sense of security.
Oh wow. I'm so sorry to hear that. He's a great Gator, and was always a good representative of the university.
