Here is another bizarre, yet moronic, trend among high school students: "mewing". Apparently, mewing is holding your tongue against the roof of your mouth in the foolish hope that it will somehow improve your jawline. And apparently, the need to improve your jawline in high school is important enough to blow off classwork and discussions from your teacher by pointing to and tracing your jaw. Are high school students really this stupid AND shallow-minded?

If I were a teacher, I would give part of the grade based on answering questions in class. Too stupid to talk? Time for an "F".

Students (8th grade) in small-town Pennsylvania demonstrate why they cannot be trusted with social media accounts. Several students created fake TikTok accounts for their teachers, posting pictures of them, and creating what they decided must be interesting hobbies for them: pedophilia, racism, and sex with other teachers. Just a little slander.

Students Target Teachers in Group TikTok Attack, Shaking Their School

Seems like a lawsuit or two might be in order.

I don't think that parents should allow their kids to use social media unsupervised until they are old enough to be responsible for their actions.

More from the above article: not only were these kids (from a wealthy neighborhood) unapologetic, they accused the teachers of blowing it out of proportion, told them to "move on" and "learn to joke". One student even announced that she would continue posting on TikTok, but this time would make it a private account so she couldn't get caught. They also were more concerned about getting themselves suspended than the damage they had done to their teachers' lives. A lawsuit should help fix the problem--carve a chunk out of the family's liability (homeowner's) policy, and the parents will prevent the kids from using social media until they get out of the house.
