    Dead man reelected in Pennsylvania

Highlights two issues in my mind (forget about the team aspect here). First is the overwhelming advantage that incumbents have on both sides. Second, there's speculation that votors actually continued to vote for the man despite knowing of his death. A way of trying to vote "none of the above" knowing it'll force a special election.

Missouri voters did this years ago when they elected Mel Carnahan to the U.S. Senate over John Ashcroft.

Well the other choice was OZ. I feel bad making a joke about Fetterman’s stroke but it was there.

OZ’s primary’s problem was his being alive.

Moronic article and thread. It’s a vote for a Democratic representative. Huckabee was tweeting out stupid stuff on this so I’ll feel perfectly fine celebrating his old fat death soon. No respect for people from republicans, even in death. Shame.

I tend to agree that the voters wanted to force a special election. They probably considered both of the remaining candidates the Republican and the far left third party candidate unacceptable and wanted another shot at electing a mainstream Democrat.

GOP Could have run anybody and it would’ve beaten Federman. That’s an embarrassing loss for the Republicans. That’s like Florida losing the Georgia Southern. I think this may cost Republicans the Senate majority. Horrible by the RNP

Agree although virtually all of the blame falls on one specific Republican.

If the Republicans nominated David McCormick, an investment banker and mainstream Republican they would now have a Senate majority. Instead they nominated a media celeb who has devolved being a respected surgeon to a purveyor of quack remedies and wasn't even a resident of Pennsylvania until he decided to run for a election. The party also would have won outright in Georgia if the Pubs in that state decided to nominate a mainstream candidate rather than a former football player most likely suffering from CTE. Although the Senate is technically still in play the Democrats should thank the Orange One in advance for ensuring that they retain control of at least one House of Congress.

Sad reflection on the dem party that they need the opposition to be that severely handicapped to be able to get to a draw
