Tonight it’ll be a boneless chuck roast slow-cooked with potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery hearts (Ms. Jan’s gravy) in the Lodge cast iron pot—I will fry the cornbread—

The longnecks are iced down in the back porch Yeti and ready to go—

The last D-1 football game of the year—SEC over anybody they play—

    So we’ll act like it’s Saturday—and—

Grilled wings it is!! Cold tray to go with—and—

The ice cold longnecks are a must!

I really don't care that much about football as opposed to my two other brothers that grew up with me in Chicago and they are most unhappy after yesterday. The funny thing is that I called it before the game to my wife with the Bears losing on a field goal attempt that hit the upright.

Today I had lots of chicken broth that I made after grilling a chicken yesterday for making "stacked" chicken enchiladas. I also made my own green chili sauce for them.

    Fresh chicken broth ...

... some ground pork in the freezer ...

... some ginger left over from a different dish ...

... still have some Sichuan peppercorns ...

So just buy some wide rice noodles and some scallions for a tasty soup.

    D-A-N-G-

That’s tempting enough to get into the truck and head to Gainesville—;)

The noodles get soggy if left in the soup.

Do you still have a pass with the current troopers to drive as fast as you want?

    LMAO—

Most of the current Troopers were in diapers when I retired—They may get wide-eyed and say “I heard of you”—but that’s about as far as it goes—

    Like I’ve said before—

“Son, one day you’re gonna get old enough for those nutz to drop, and you’ll start shaving—and you’ll look at this job entirely different”—

Fresh pot of chili simmering on the stove for tonight’s supper—We still prefer to serve it over rice topped with Sargento’s fine shredded sharp cheese—

Yep, that means chili-cheese dogs for lunch tomorrow—:)

The ice cold longnecks are quite refreshing this afternoon—was thinking ‘bout taking a truck load of bandaids and Alkaline-Seltzers up to Tuscaloosa to sell tomorrow—anyone want to ride along?

Tonight it’ll be a boneless half pork loin grilled indirect over applewood smoke—

To go along with it we’ll have fresh stewed yellow squash & vidalia onion, and fresh butter beans—

The ice cold longnecks are a must for a grilling session like this—

Tonight it will be flattened pork chops, mustard greens cooked in the pork drippings, and mashed potatoes. Clearing out some leftover potatoes and mustard greens from previous dinners.

Last night we went out for dinner in High Springs with our dear friend that has had season tickets since @wingtee was pitching. We tried to pick up the tab, but she was insistent. We said that popcorn is on us all season.

Putting 2 racks of St.Louis cut ribs on the Egg today indirect over applewood smoke—we’ll have Ms. Jan’s home made Mac’n’Cheese, and fresh cream 40’s & butter beans to go with—

And yes, the ice cold longnecks landed in fair territory so they will be “in play” today!

    You go there much, lurk?

My mom and step dad go there a lot, sometimes 2-3 times a week, lol.

    Cooking inside today—

It will be a pot of white chicken chili topped with Tex-Mex shredded cheese—

Ice cold Pacifico longnecks will go along great with our meal today—

Maybe every other year. I prefer my own cooking, but sometimes it is fun to have somebody else cook the food and do the dishes.

Making a cold squid salad tonight and saving the other half of the squid for a pasta dish in a few days. Too bad I don't have any ink.

Yesterday was scarfing a gyro from Gyro+ before going to the basketball game. 6:00 starts that you attend are not good for cooking a dinner. 6:00 starts for away games on TV are a different story.

    Well, well—

My W/D butcher smiled today when he saw me and said “I have Tri-Tips”—

So, I’m grilling a Tri-Tip tonight—fresh classic romaine salad topped with vine ripe tomatoes, baked potatoes, and grilled sunflower grain bread to go with—

The ice cold longnecks will go very well with our menu—

Lucky you. Some things just require that cut.

As for me I am doing the heavy lifting on my wife's Senate Navy Bean soup.
