Looks like both Laura and Marco will miss you wide and outside.

    Cool.

Not wishing bad/hard luck for anyone but I’ll take it!

And I’ll believe it when I see it....

Bhan Thai had a good lunch buffet. My wife was a vegetarian for a while, and she had lots to choose from.

Holy cowabunga is it muggy out! I went out to do a few things and after my tee shirt got soaked I said screw it - I'll work inside for a while....lol.

I did some work at one of my accounts yesterday morning and finished up around 11am and it wasn't anything like this.

It didn't hurt that I took along this to provide some relief periodically.....

I put beef plate ribs on the Egg at 12:30pm for our evening meal. Franklin’s recommended recipe of course.

Inside we will have fresh pinkeye peas w/snaps, okra, and Ms. Jan’s homemade potato salad and deviled eggs. I will also fry some cornbread.

Steady rain today so it’s rain on the tin roof along with our adult libations.

Well it has rained here all day but just drizzle to light rain—I’m sure the very outer bands of Marco and Polo churning in the Gulf.

Tonight it will be individual choices on a refrigerator full of leftovers, but they are all good choices.

Rain on the tin roof on the back porch with ice cold longnecks and chilled wine tonight.

I made a bean salad yesterday and have left over chicken thighs.

    A very easy dinner tonight.

We’re back to hot and humid followed by more of the same.

Grilling wings with a cold tray for tonight. Already on the back porch watching the Rays/Orioles and enjoying those ice cold longnecks.

    Not cooking tonight.

My wife has a card from some Italian place with a bunch of money from a local restaurant and she needs to use it soon. Some gift from some client.

I just need to make the salad and she will dress it.

Glad to see Laura is giving you a huge wide and outside pitch.

Sorry for folks in her path.

    It looks nasty.

Agree—their big problem is going to be how low the land is at their sea level—probably going to be a Cat 3 at landfall but not really anywhere for the surge of the storm to go but over stuff.

Well today has been hot and humid all day until about 2:00PM--we've got a pretty good thunderhead building up looks like for the evening.

I'm going with the boneless country cut ribs indirect over cherry wood smoke. Inside we've got fresh steamed yellow squash & onions, fresh bi-color cob corn, and rice pilaf.

The Yeti is stocked and ready for the back porch activities.

I am making something like a squid Pad Thai tonight.

Added in edit: And it was great.

Still cannot wrap my head around bonesless ribs. A bone with no bone? Kind of sounds like air.

    Just joshing.

I will give you chit when talking about cooking jumbo shrimp.

I would like to hear of some fried fresh water Bream out of Merritt's Mill Pond or some other place that still has fresh water fish near Marianna. Let's have a fish fry !!!!

I remember going to fish fries at the local VFW in Chicago when I was a kid: Cold water walleye. So good.

Cold water walleye is to freshwater what grouper is to salt water. Just perfection in a fish to eat. It was really a sin to fry walleye just like it is a sin to fry grouper, but I have enjoyed some fried "grouper" sandwiches at restaurants. (It wasn't really grouper. Most likely it was cod.) When I cook grouper it is usually steamed with a great topping. Most times with a macadamia nut crust.

I’ve been busy today turning green peanuts into boiled peanuts so—

Ms. Jan has made her chicken pot pie for our supper tonight, and trust me y’all—it’s really good.

Ice cold longnecks and chilled wine will be on the back porch with us this evening to watch the sunset.
