To move into the Top 20 we need a few more teams within spitting distance ahead of us to lose. We will move up at least one spot because Seton Hall had a bad week and will drop behind us. Maybe not jump Auburn because they lost in 2 OT to a ranked UConn team and they were quite a few spots ahead of us. Bama will drop, but not enough for us to pass them. Not saying that we are not deserving to be in the Top 20, but just a take on the mentality of most pollsters.
In CBS Sports “Hey 19” power rankings, it has Florida at #5. That’s way too high in my opinion but at least the Gators are getting some recognition.
I think the country has seen a good bit about this team and know, this is the best team Mike White has put together. With that being said, without a doubt we will climb the ladder on Monday rankings. At least #20, if not, as tv keeps the bright lights on this team, we will be there very quickly. The SEC portion of the schedule is very challenging. We will lose some of those, but each and every team we play, will know they had to give all they had and they will just scrape by, if they have their best game, home court advantage and have paid the refs, LOL. There won’t be many!
Iowa State beat Xavier and is putting the wood to Memphis. They might jumps us if they pull of the win versus Memphis.
About where we should be given our body or work. Win a tough one in Norman and we should inch up next week. BTW Kevin Brockway is a pollster. Pool tracker needs to update his resume as he no longer works for the Gainesville Sun.
