Horrible to hear. What makes someone do this? So much at risk and for what?

This will be the straw that broke SS’s back. He cannot weather this one too. I would expect the new President to fire him if Fuchs doesn’t. And without SS as his backstop, i think Napier is likely gone. Kinda funny that Napier might get gone because of some other guy’s dic pix. UF will be the butt of jokes and The heckling on the road is going to be brutal.

Same thing that makes high functioning alcoholics work, tiger woods dominate golf while sleeping with 15 women on ambien, gambling addicts that steal $20mm from the Jags.

Triggers the brains reward center and you get hooked. Especially if you are in a high stress job/situation and need an escape.

A lady and her husband who I met in Gainesville years ago are long distance runners. She holds many ultramarathon world records. They started going on Wiki to fluff her record and defluff her opponents records with edits. Got caught in September (ip address, email name) and people started calling them cyberbullies etc. They deleted their social media and she lost her main sponsor, Lululemon. Both got ripped on podcasts and in running magazines. I remember thinking when editting Wiki they should have used a VPN.

Perfect message. It’s okay to cheat, lie and be an immoral person as long as you cover your tracks.

This is textbook addict behavior. I’ve been around severe alcoholism and sex addiction. The behaviors are exactly the same. I hope he gets the help he needs, and his family is able to heal.

If that qualifies as a disability, can he still be fired?

I don’t know that I would call it a disability. Usually this type of thing develops over time through bad choices and eventually people lose control. You still have to hold people accountable IMO. Of course all this is speculation based on the article.

Yep. Reason i wondered was there was a very senior administrator in my agency, an alcoholic pill popping wreck who did some very egregious things like DUI in state vehicle (fhp scooped him up, took him home and covered it up; threw a brick through window of state vehicle cause he had locked his pills in there, fired people who were witness to some of these things) and when he claimed it was the result of his disease (alcoholism) and entered rehab he was untouchable. He was fired several months later for something very minor bordering on a technicality though. I dunno UF’s contract probably covers a lot of bad behavior under “cause”.

Yeah, accountability seems like an antiquated concept these days. Everyone is a victim. Starting with our victim in chief.

yeah, I would hope there’s some kind of morals or good behavior clause in his contract. If not, it would be yet another example of malpractice by the program

You are absolutely correct. Such addictions especially over a long period of time calls for more riskier and hardcore behavior. My guess is TG has been a sex addict for a long time and if like most addicts it began early in his youth.
There is a potential silver lining to this if this is all true, often times it takes such an addict to hit rock bottom (a major catastrophe) before seeking help. If true, I hope he seeks help. I hope Gator fans refrain from casting stones, believe me, if this is true TG will be his own worst critic and punisher.

If true, believe me he will be held accountable. The Scriptures say "Your sins will find you out" so true. the Bible also says, When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death." James 1:13-15. Death comes in many forms, death of a job, death of ones reputation, death of one's income, death of one's marriage. But the good news for TG or anyone who has made a mess of their life is that Jesus is in the business of restoration. I hope and pray this for TG.
