I thought the scoring was fair for both teams unlike what you get when you go to Norman.

The crowd and atmosphere were electric last night. SEC Network+ showed a lot more of the atmosphere than the regular SEC channel including the awards after the meet ended including honoring the 8 seniors and their families.

I enjoyed all of the cheering and the Won't Back Down done after the third rotation.

It'll be interesting to see if the OU coach comments on the atmosphere.

    Well done Gator Nation!

Oklahoma hosts Michigan next Friday night. It'll be televised on ESPN2 at 8:45 PM ET. DVR the meet for later in the evening and enjoy UF at Auburn and the other SEC meets first. Friday night during the season is women's gymnastics night in our house.

I agree that the scoring was fair. It was consistent throughout.

But I do think scores were a bit lower than they should have been, for both teams.

That's the type of scoring we are going to see at regionals and nationals. Hopefully everyone will be scored to the same standard whether they are 1 or 6 in an event lineup. That was refreshing to see last night.

I want to comment on Riley McCusker. She looked fabulous on her beam exhibition last night just having a small bounce back on her dismount. Looks like ankle permitting, Riley may be a 2-event participant before the end of the season.

Riley's 9.85 on the bars was an improvement even with the tougher judging of last evening. She still looks like a 9.90 to me or better when she sticks her landing.

By 23, Riley will be a tremendous all-around performer so long as she doesn't reinjure her left ankle. Coach Rowland is absolutely 110% right to be bringing her along slowly. Gator Nation should have 3 more years to enjoy this young lady.

Thanks. I didn’t mean to suggest I saw us benefit, but more most assume things are a bit tougher on the road.

Watched on Big 10 Network. Michigan had their lowest score of the season by far.

It will be interesting to see how they handle performing at Oklahoma next Friday night.

Beam = weakest event, but they had 3 to sit on vault landings. Apparently self-applied pressure to excel. They let others doing bad affect them which was surprising for such an experienced team.

Like that Dr. Sam gets the facts. Riley McCusker's exhibition beam score:

"Dr. Sam, PhD@DrSam_PhDRiley McCusker beam exhibition (9.875)
I am so happy to see her healthy and competing."

That's really good for her first time up in a competition environment since her ankle injury last summer. Stick her landing and that would have been north of 9.900.

There is a picture of Dr. Sam with Megan and Trinity so she apparently was at the meet Friday night.
