My apology for the delay in announcing the passing of Cheryl Sadler, better known as vertigo0923 on this forum for years. Verti, a former Pub moderator had been ill for a number of years with an autoimmune disorder. I'm sorry I don't remember what it was. She died in July last summer, but no one knew at the time as she had not posted for several years and I had lost contact with her.

Someone asked about her on the Pub a few months back and when looking for contact information I found her obituary posted in a Kentucky newspaper. Notice of her passing was posted on the Pub in October but I failed to post it here as I should have.

In a post earlier today @Gatorhead wondered why carpeveritas had not posted for a while. Last spring he informed the moderators he wanted to take a break for a while as he had lost his son. He has not returned and we have no details.

@oragator1 ~ thanks, ora. Apparently I had posted this on Too Hot and forgot. The inquiry from Gatorhead about carpeveritas brought it to mind.

Thanks for posting. Verti and I mixed it up a few times but we were good. She was a good poster and will be missed.

Thanks, ora. Had forgotten about that one, too. Though my long term memory is good, two go rounds with sepsis have taken a toll on my short term memory.

No worries. Both threads had some nice comments from folks so thought they were relevant.

Thanks for posting. As Doone observed, 'no man's an island'. Eventually, the bells will toll for all of us. .
