https://247sports.com/Player/onis-konanbanny-46139982/ If the kid is smart, he has seen what UTn has already done in their class. What the vols have done is to sign 4 CBs in the class so Konanbanny would be CB #5. He did visit UF and still has photos of himself up on his instagram page. Since UF has 1 CB in this class so far, I can understand why he'd be thinking it just might be in his best interest to be in Gainesville. He does have an outstanding offer list.
I'm thinking tthe Gators have a real shot here, and your post reinforces that belief. He would be a great addition to the class given the position group.
He has good ball skills for a db. He is their 2d highest rated db, so that could hurt them. Stick in the next dagger.
I read somewhere that Stubbs was recruited as CB - but regardless we should def grab this guy if possible
This is why the rankings can be misleading. 4-5 CBs increasing their ranking but in all likelihood some won’t see the field or will transfer
Hold out until Feb and get some extra cash. Then again, he won't see much playing time, missing the spring.
Stubbs can do it all. You just find an open spot on the field. He was most useful as an eraser in high school. He was a one man wrecking crew. 9 int his Jr year. I wouldn't pigeon tail Konan into any position either.
That was pigeon hole not pigeon tail. I love it too. It has been a minute since we have gotten 3 db like Banks, Stubbs, and Hayward. None of them strike me as a question of whether they can make the transition.
For sure, Hanks, Stubbs and Hayward? Are you kidding me?? Now with this position group, with these guys, UF must rank at or near the top of the SEC, what a haul, Hanks had, what? 13 int's? Crazy Number.
Slightly off-topic but on-topic. What's the story with Cormani McClain? Primed to break-out next season? Kid has talent.
I have also heard his mother still lives overseas and will be coming in the next few weeks. UF has invited them to tour the campus. He would have to commit by the end of today if he wants to enroll early. If that isn't his plan, he can wait and let his family see the campus and help him confirm his decision to flip. Then he would sign in February. Someone has mentioned it is academics that is holding him back, but this isn't true. Hope we land him! Go Gators!
Good info tenor. Thanks. I was actually the one who asked about academics, but, it was only a question because that is often the reason that committed guys sign nowhere on ESD. Good to know that's not the case here. I did read an article that said he had his sights set on NSD in February.
Did not want to start another thread since this question is about another CB. Does anyone know about the Juco CB that 247 lists in their Scout Look section of Targets? His name is Keshawn Daliva out of Northwest Mississippi.CC. They say he is the number 1 Juco CB but not much interest. Could he be a plan B if Konanbanny does come thru?
I hope he re-ups and stays a Gator. Obviously a world of talent and potential (as far as I know). UF needs corners too, he has a couple of years of ball under his belt now, one would expect him to make a big leap next year.
