South Carolina is well coached. They made a lot of adjustments from yesterday especially serving. Stucky got a lot of so-so passes that limited where she could set and USC was all over it. On Saturday she usually didn't have to move on her set and so it could go anywhere along the net or even to the "pipeline" if Beason was backrow.

Still trying to get my head around the total meltdown in set 5. Where did that come from?

This team is still learning to work together.
    Hopefully consistency will come.

Is that their first ever loss to South Carolina in volleyball?

It was sorta like we escaped with a win. But a W is a W.

We didn’t play well at all for long stretches and still won, including a couple of really tight sets. Another learning experience.

After getting boat raced in the 3rd and down 3 midway thru the 4th I would have taken the W all night long

We had so many unforced errors tonight. If we had not had those, this would not be close.
The crowd was great, especially the students. They were on fire. I hope they show up again tomorrow and we don't shoot ourselves in the foot. It will be interesting to see the adjustments.

Just finished watching the Sunday LSU match. Hats off to LSU as they can really dig. They just didn't have enough options to set on offense.

Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that these players have no quit (okay, it was me). I was at the game today so not keeping track, but how many set points did we get past? I think there was one game with five set points in a row for LSU.

In a couple of games we were down six/seven points, usually an insurmountable advantage but we were able to come back. Considering how young this team is, the future is bright. Hopefully there are no T'ara Ceasars on the team to undermine the chemistry!

Again, since I was at the game I wasn't privy to the TV stats, but Markova (who is normally outstanding) seemed to struggle today. Hopefully that's just a one-off.

And I agree with ScrappyGator about the crowd. There seem to be many more people in the building than even pre-Covid days. If you are going to come to a game, arrive early -- long lines to get in, long concession lines, and the introductions and stuff start about 10 minutes before the published start time. Especially now having the band, its a really fun environment.

I'm thinking she got sick. She played in the first to games UF won and then wasn't seen on the floor or bench after that.

It would be nice if the announcers would take a minute to interview Mary Wise after the matches. She would have probably given us a general idea what went down.

Why are all Florida coaches so secretive?
