(VB) Ongoing Volleyball Thread

Seems like a lot of defensive indecision by the Gators..

They’re playing smarter even though riskier ball

 

I’m going to go poolside, but I’ll say something about attacking. If the attacker is right handed, and she attacks the ball with the thumbs down, she can cause the ball to go off the block to her left(left vs. right blocker). If she goes thumbs up, the ball goes to the right. These are tool shots and all front row players know this. There are also medium paced roll shots to the deep corners. They know this. Aggies are more efficient attacking right now. Even if out of Sync, these shots are available. Those push shots have too much air…rolls have topspin so the ball will drop quicker. The girls know this as well. Coaches are frustrated with our efficiency, and I don’t blame them. No doubt we are the better team. Lousy finish for AC lol. Go Gators

 

Always love the "slide" play. Gators up 9-6.

Aggies have a good coach and staff. A lot of great VB club’s in Texas. Will be interesting to see if they cut into the Longhorn ties
