(VB) Ongoing Volleyball Thread

A look at Texas A&M:

SEC Play: Swept Mississippi State & lost 3-1 at #14 Arkansas.

Caroline Meuth 5'11" OH is 1st in scoring, 2nd in kills, 5th in blocks, and 3rd in digs.

Bianna Muonake 6'0" OH is 3rd in scoring, 1st in kills, 6th in blocks, and 2nd in digs.

Logan Lednicky 6'3" OH is 2nd in scoring, 3rd in kills, and 3rd in blocks.

Ifenna Cos-Okpalla 6'2" MB is 4th in scoring, 1st in blocks, and 4th in kills.

Morgan Perkins 6'1" MB is 5th in scoring, 2nd in blocks, and 5th in kills.

Ital Lopuys 6'6" OH is 6th in scoring and 4th in blocks.

Morgan Perkins 6'1" MB averages 1.09 blocks per set for her career.

Nisa Buzlutepes 6'2" S is 1st in assists and 6th in digs.

Margot Manning 5'10" S is 2nd in assists and 4th in digs.

Lauren Hogan 5'4" L/DS is 1st in digs and 3rd in assists.

Ava Underwood 5'7" L/DS is 4th in assists and 5th in digs.

 

Penetration at the net with our blocks will be key, imo as we match up well height wise. Having practiced.scrimmaged with/against Stucky in practices should help coverage with their S. Jmo

 

As a league in volleyball the SEC has come a long way. No nights off anymore.

I used to be jealous of those Big Ten (now 10 octal. Nerd joke.), Big Twelve and Pac whatever number teams because they had lots of in season competition. We are now in that class of leagues.

 

Muff just doesn’t have it. Sugar coat it all you want. Several sets are placed terribly and the hitters are having to tap the ball over. The first set should not be this close.

 

Muff not getting the ball up to her attackers, and our blockers setting blocks on our side of the net….which will drop the ball on our side from the top spin. No bueno first set, at 16 all

A set full of runs. 26-24 Gators An easy 25-15 second set win would be appreciated.

Interesting to see Mary take Muff out one rotation leaving the setting to a back row specialist

Lack of focus on this set so far. Finally a point. 1-3

 

Muff tweaked an ankle…now the announcers are discussing
