The radio show is live every Monday at 6PM and there is a simultaneous broadcast to the Internet that you can receive anywhere: The Mary Wise Show - ESPN 98.1 FM - 850 AM WRUF
The discussion is pretty high level, sometimes over my head, but interesting nevertheless.

I called this yesterday. Stuckey should not of come out on crutches and a leg brace.

Yeah, it's terrible for Alexis, terrible for the Gators. I honestly believe we'd be #1 today if she'd played the whole match. Now, I see we're still #3 but I think we might struggle for a while. I'd say we're probably a top 15 right now.
We might see the team make enough adjustments and see Muff improve enough to get back to contender status. But there will be a learning curve for all. And we may still get a big boost if we can get Hutson healthy and playing again. She's a special athlete at 6'-3".

We definitely would have won the match if Stuckey didn't go out. Muff was serviceable, but nowhere near Stuckey level. The sets were too low and not always to the right hitters.

I agree with your points, but without Stuckey, we might go far, but not all the way.

I hope so, but Stuckey is next level, so there will be much less margin for error.

Agree Muff will be a warrior, and will adjust setting angles to her attackers, but will be a liability at the net when she’s front row as she’s 5’11(although there are things she can be taught to at least touch the ball on the block). My guess is Alexis has an MCL injury which is better than an ACL but being her second knee, you wonder how she’ll play at her level knowing she’ll land in a staggered position feet wise which may aggravate the knees again. Went through this with one daughter and is a common problem with net players. Sucks and you can’t have the possibility staying in one’s orbit. All Jmo

It sucks we lost, but it was a great match. FSU was close, but went in our favor despite the refs. What a well-officiated game Wiscy was compared to the FSU game. FSU's down ref was 80+ and couldn't find his glasses half the time, and the 300 lb bald up-ref was terrible and biased. (Edit: No offense meant at all to bald people. But for 80+ year old blind people or 300+ lb people, they shouldn't be refs). FSU isn't anywhere near a top-level team, but have some dignity not to play in what looks like a low-end high-school gym. How are they able to recruit players or a coach to play their home games in that atmosphere? Although, now that I'm thinking about it, it may be a cost-saving measure to share it with the circus team's practices. But still...

I went to the FSU game and I will say this. You are right that it is a low-rent gym. When you have to crank the basketball hoops out of the way and they are still visible, that's not a professional look for volleyball.

But having said that, the atmosphere was pretty electric. The FSU fans were definitely into it -- every seat was taken and they stopped letting people in long before the match started (free, general admission). There were about 150 people in the lobby most of the game hoping someone left and they could go in. Yeah, it's not a 10,000 arena sellout like the O'Dome was on Sunday, but these students showed up without any giveaways or other promotions that helped pack the O'Dome.

Don't get me wrong -- FSU still sucks -- but I left impressed at their rabid fan following.

According to the FSU box score attendance was 999. The reason for the line is the Noles still issue paper tickets which slows down entry into Tully gym.

Glad you were able to see the game live and report on the atmosphere. It did sound loud, and I think the band took up 60 seats probably. But on the TV broadcast, every time FSU scored a great point, if the cameras were showing the crowd, most were looking down at their cell phones. I didn't see that from the Gator fans at UF-WISC. Just seemed strange from the broadcast.

Any news on Stuckey? I'm sure she's had an MRI and diagnosis by now. It looked bad, so it probably won't be good news :(.

I am asking this question with trepidation.
When a search is made for a thread, there is a checkbox that asks: Check Child Forums.
That is creepy. Does anyone know what this is?
I would search, but I do not want a SWAT Team showing up at my house.
