The Sun got rid of almost all of their local reporters. In Sports they have Whitless, the columnist, a new guy who covers HS sports, and Brockaway who “covers” UF sports—that is, football

    Last Time Out:

    Sept. 16, 2022 | Madison, Wis. | W, 3-2 (25-21, 25-18, 26-28, 13-25, 15-13)
I'll never forget that match. After losing 25-13 in 4th set- and especially after losing set 3- I had zero hope we'd win the 5th set. None whatsoever. Nada. Nil. Nyet! I think I even left the room during the first few points. I yelled so loud after the final point, my cat ran and hid under my bed.

Attendance record 8,163 (7,523 after renovation)
. With all the success the program has achieved, I'm a little surprised we've never sold out for a volleyball match. Dominating a weak conference for nearly 3 decades-no major inter-conference rivalries, very few home marquee matches- haven't helped filling up the O'Dome. Texas joining the SEC, Kentucky's natty and the emergence of Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and Arkansas (and sometimes Miss St) will raise the SEC's volleyball profile and bring in more marquee matches in the O'Dome. Stanford moving to the ACC will make it easier to schedule them (also in tennis!). The best way to increase attendance is to win a natty. Gymnastics did not start regularly selling out until after winning 3 straight NCAA titles. At least 8,164 will be in the O'Dome on Sunday IMHO!

Epilog-I was trying to get tickets to both Tennessee and Wisconsin-easier to justify the price for a last minute round-trip New York-Gainesville or Jacksonville plane ticket. But the price of the Tennessee ticket was almost as high as the plane ticket

    Go Gators!!

10,000+ hopefully. Don't leave any tickets for Wisconsin fans.

Wow! Impressive first set win 25-15. Badgers look discombobulated. Crowd is in to it.

Wisc looking better in set 2., tho Martins serve producing a 5-0 run. Gators up 13-11. Nothing easy.

Tied at 14 and Stuckey helped off with injury. . Looked like her knee gave away.

Title chances are over if it’s serious and we’ll be lucky to win this match. She’s that good and that important. Mary is cursed.

Yikes. Stuckey exits the court holding her knee. Gators 1-0, now tied at 15 in the second.

Sure hope Stuckey isn't hurt bad. But I doubt she returns today even if she's not.
