Enjoy your dinner. I think beating #3, #5, & #8 in the first four matches of the season is worthy of eating 3 crows. What a team. Congratulations ladies. You have taken some of the sting out of the current football debacle.

Gators sweep #5 Minnesota right out of the building today. Awesome win. We've now won six straight sets against top-5 teams.

Just got home. It was a great match and the O’Dome was rocking & rolling. Big crowd, but don’t know what the total was. Big turn out by the students is always good to see!

I wrote that about AC 18 months ago after watching a scrimmage at the Lemerand Athletic Center when she first arrived at UF. I've been really surprised that she hasn't had much of a role. She definitely proved herself today.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend today's game and so I watched the match at home on TV. During the post-game interview with Elli McKissock, she was asked what is different this year compared to last year. Without hesitation, she said the "love in the locker room" -- suggesting that things might have been different last year. We're only a season removed from toxic T'ara Ceasar and obviously there was some dissatisfaction in the locker room last year which led players to the portal. Last year we performed under potential; this year we are performing over potential. Go Gators!

    D O M I N A N C E !!!!!

    Florida Opens Season 4-0!

Against 3 top 8 teams, UF has been dominate neutral, away, and at home:

Neutral Defeated #8 Penn State 3-1
    Away Defeated #2 Stanford 3-0
    Home Defeated #5 Minnesota 3-0

After losing the first set to Penn State, the Gators have chomped to 9 consecutive set wins against top 8 competition. The only way to have been more dominate would have been to sweep Penn State in Tampa too.

To top off the depth on this team, AC Fitzpatrick filled in with a high-level performance against Minnesota while Kira Hutson was sidelined likely due to her ongoing shoulder injury which I hope gets sorted out sooner rather than later. Kira was dressed but did not play. AC is a terrific OH/server but short at 5'11" for the position.

Not looking past any team UF plays, but the Gators will play #1 Wisconsin in Gainesville before SEC play begins. That's 4 top 8 teams in UF's out of conference schedule.

I don’t want to jinx it, but this could be the year finally. Team looks really good, and their best players are all so young, upside is limitless.

Tennessee just took a set from Wisconsin. They're down 2-1. Be interesting to see if they can keep it going.

Update--UT just won set four to tie the match. Maybe Wisconsin is not as invincible as some people think.

    Update 2--Wisconsin wins set 5 15-13.

:emoji_thinking: That's a logical assumption. I can picture Beason having a condescending attitude towards her teammates and thinking I won't win a natty here...

Natty and NIL. Karma would be playing the Huskers in Tampa.

Maybe we'll see a #1 vs. #2 when Wiscy comes to town.

With the Badgers eking out a victory over UT who might be the #1?

What a great atmosphere and match. The O'Dome was rocking, and that energized the ladies. The attendance was 4642, but it looked and sounded as if there were more.
This team is on fire. They are playing with such energy and joy. As some quoted above, love in the locker room is the difference between this year and last.
It also helps to have Kennedy Martin, Anna Dixon, and Kira Hutson.
AC filled in admirably for Kira today with seven kills. She brings so much energy.
Anna is the same way. She had eight kills.
I saw something I don't think I have seen before. Elli's name was on the scoreboard twice. Generally, the libero only has digs on the board. Today, she had 15 digs and seven assists. Of course, that means we were playing out of system a lot. Stuckey had 11 digs, thus the assists for Elli. Stuckey also had five kills.
Sandman 70 on the floor today. To the right of us was Jack Boos, Dave's father. On the left was Madi Gravlee's paternal grandparents. They were all so nice.
I tried to post pictures from today, but it keeps saying File Too Large. I imported them as small, and generally, a medium will post. Have we changed how large a file pictures can be?

Reminder: We play the current #1 Wisconsin on September 17th. Please come if you can. Barring anything weird until then, we should be #1 if we beat them.

Someone on here posted that the name that shall not be said told them directly that she didn't think she was being developed here and wanted to play pro after college. I don't know.
