Here are some Marquette players that might be good additions. I know he would not decimate the team, but 2 or 3 would be good.
The good thing with the timing is that they could enroll for summer.
Of course, that is assuming he is hired.

Isn't UF filled up in the inn unless Boos isn't selected, and players make an exodus to make room for the new players? I like the team whomever gets hired has the opportunity to work with.

Since I'm a recruit I descried to consult ChatCPT and evaluated the indicated 3 current possibilities and concluded that Michelle Collier would be the best choose and a woman HC for a women's volleyball team. Great recruiter, plus International, defensive minded like Mary but also more offensive minded.

Our blocking has been ordinary the past few years….Assume Boos had that responsibility. Jmo

Coach Wise has been excellent but anyone being honest with themselves has to see the program falling behind in our own conference let alone the other big programs. Teams like Pitt and Louisville have far surpassed us and they had zero cred until they got their current coaches. I'm not sure what Boos can do to make us better. If he could wouldn't you think Mary would have allowed it? In my opinion picking a Mary disciple probably won't actually gain us anything creatively or strategically. As for the GT coach, she would probably be last on this list for me. I was really hoping for a different mindset and experience which I guess just like football, we don't have the pull we think we have.

I do not know if SS considered her for the HC job, but everything I've read about Erger says she's a winner and will win a NCAA championship. She checks all the boxes. SMU does have Big Oil donors, who basically paid the ACC to add SMU. To steal her might be more money than we are willing to spend. But I think she would lead the Gators to a bunch of NCAA titles.
Here is SMU's Head Coach Samantha “Sam” Erger's bio:

Samantha “Sam” Erger was named Head Volleyball Coach at SMU in February of 2022.
In her third season at SMU, Erger was voted AVCA Southwest Region Coach of the Year after leading the program in its first season in the Power 4, earning a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and host-site honors for the opening two rounds for the first time in program history, becoming the first DFW school to be seeded high enough to host since UTA hosted in 1991.
    Season 3 highlights
Unranked SMU pulled off a stunning upset against No. 2 Nebraska on Tuesday night, sweeping the Huskers 25-23, 25-21, 25-18 in front of a record-breaking crowd of 6,773 at Moody Coliseum. The victory marked Nebraska's first loss of the season and their first defeat against an unranked team since 2017. The Mustangs dominated from the service line, notching seven aces compared to Nebraska's lone ace. Senior opposite hitter Naya Shime was instrumental in SMU's victory, contributing nine kills and five blocks. Middle blocker Nnedi Okammo added a towering presence at the net, recording nine blocks to stifle the Huskers' offense.
SMU hands No. 1 Pittsburgh its first loss of the season in five sets. It was only the second time the Panthers had to play a fourth set and the first time playing a fifth set, dropping just one set the entire season coming into the match.
The Mustangs finished the regular season 24-7, finishing fourth in the ACC with a 16-4 conference record. Erger led the Mustangs to the program's fourth NCAA Tournament appearance, its second in-a-row, and an opening round tourney win, sweeping Wichita State. Erger's Mustangs defeated seven ranked teams in 2024, including No. 1 Pitt and No. 2 Nebraska. The Mustangs also collected a program record of 12 round wins in her third season on the Hilltop.
The 2023 Mustangs finished their campaign with the best team season attacking percentage in program history (.257). SMU tied for the fourth most aces per set (1.50) while recording the eighth most aces in program history with 166. SMU was top-10 in program history with 446 blocks and passed out the 15th most assists with 1466.
Erger mentored four All-AAC and four AVCA All-Region Selections. Naya Shime and Celia Cullen were named First-Team All-Conference and All-Region Selection. At the same time, Natalie Foster and Maya Tabron earned a spot on the ACC Second-Team and All-Region honorable mention accolades. Shime and Cullen were also named AVCA All-Americans, with Shime being selected to the third team, the program's first player to make an All-American Team, and Cullen bringing in honorable mention recognition.

Prior to being named the head coach at SMU, Erger had two collegiate coaching jobs, at Findlay (graduate assistant), before making her head coach debut at Hill College in 2013. In her sole season as head coach, she led Hill College to a 29–9 record, an NTJCAC Conference title and ended a 12-year school drought by reaching the NJCAA Division I national tournament. She was subsequently honored as the 2013 NJCAA District F Coach of the Year.
She was named as assistant coach at Baylor University in 2014. During her eight seasons at the program, she also served as the recruiting coordinator, setting coach, and was promoted to associate head coach her final two seasons. Under her guidance, her 2022 class is ranked No. 4 by PrepVolleyball.com and includes the Gatorade National Player of the Year, setter Averi Carlson. As she leaves Waco, the 2023 Bears’ class is ranked No. 9 in the country. Their 2021 class was also ranked No. 9 by VolleyballMag.com, the 2019 class was ranked No. 11 by PrepVolleyball.com and their 2017 class was also ranked in the top 20. Erger helped recruit the program's then-highest-ranked recruit from PrepVolleyball.com in Kara McGhee and also helped land three other UA All-Americans in 2019.
You can see her W-L record as a HC here

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has named Baylor volleyball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Samantha Erger the Thirty Under 30 Award winner, announced by the organization Thursday morning.Award winner, announced by the organization Thursday morning. This award was created in 2009 to honor up-and-coming coaching talent at all levels of the sport. To qualify for the award, nominees had to be younger than 30 years old in 2017. The 144 total nominations broke the program record.

Did I miss the new hire announcement? You gotta think if it was Boos, that would have been done already, right? An no way the other candidates would demand more money than Wise, so a contract should not be the issue being as there is plenty of money already budgeted. When is the European trip planned?

If we haven’t a hire yet, I’m cautiously pessimistic moving forward. There are plenty of coaches who could guide our program to sweet 16 status but imo, that’s like kissing that aunt with the mole on her chin.
