Gators beat Vols in 4 sets. Martin with 30 kills.
Nice comeback. Happy to beat the Vols in any sport.

Played well in the last 2 sets. 4 aces, won 4 jousts at the net, 4 blocks, 0 SE in set 4, %H .556 set 3 and .516 in set 4, only 2 hitting errors in set 3 and 3 in set4. They had 25 pt in all 4 sets.
Kennedy had 31 kills (career high), Ise Martin had 14 kills and Annie Cate had 9 kills. Finished the last three sets strong and had a couple of bounces go against them or they could have had set 1. Tenn challenge for the 23 rd pt in set 1 was in by 1mm.

The upcoming match with Arkansas is huge. Razorbacks arfe really good and if UF can beat them it will show me, at least, that they are improving big time and back in the hunt for some kind of title.

Wise: 25 SEC titles, 33 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, eight Final Fours, 15 SEC Coach of the Year honors, and two trips to the NCAA Championship match in 2003 and 2017. Not arguing she is the greatest at UF but “Middle tier?” BS.

And on the football forum didn’t you complain about overly demanding fans chasing spurrier off? Defend napiers 2 losing seasons and say “who we gonna get?” Wise is getting near the end and hopefully will not go full Bowden, needing to be forced out. But she deserves way more respect than being called middle tier.

Said as the wins keep piling up. While far from perfect due mainly to injuries, this team is a very good team. Texas A&M, LSU, and Tennessee disagrees with you, 3-0/3-0/3-1.

Other than your statement about this not being a very good team, I do agree with rip the ball more often. It's frustrating to see the dinking and dunking which is when UF usually gets down. Be more aggressive.

I'd also like to see the blockers work better together. Too many times there are holes in the wall allowing clean kills.

My biggest complaint is service errors. UF lost the 1st set mainly due to service errors while UTn served more cleanly. I'm sick and tired of hard servers like AC Fitzpatrick making so many service errors and somehow it is acceptable. Without UF's service error help, UTn would have been swept like aTm and LSU. Get the ball in play!

This was covered towards the end of the 2nd set in the telecast last night. She has a huge brace on her leg so she may have already had the surgery, announcers didn't say. They did say Gabbi is planning on coming back next year.

Many times the dinking is due to a poor set, which is due to a poor pass.
Our passing is a problem many times and definitely needs improvement. Ellie is the best passer by far.
Red is still struggling. I do not know why.
    Service errors are killing us.
I have asked CDB about it, and the only thing he will say is, serving is not about just about getting the ball over the net, it is to disrupt the defense.
If you do not get the ball over the net you cannot disrupt anything.
But, it does erupt my ulcers.

Thinking back to last year, mid season, our serving has shown great improvement when we would constantly have double digit service errors. But I agree. I hate seeing us giving away free points to our opponents.

I tuned in during the early 2nd set. Very shaky for a bit, then the Gators found a new gear to win it. 3rd and 4th sets were excellent performances by the Gators.

Saw Mary briefly at the Haile Publix.
She is excited about that win last night.

I have to give Mary some credit. She justifiable benched Stucky and the team responded when Parks started the second set and played the rest of the match

I have to believe Stucky still isn't 100%, which might be physically but may just be mentally not trusting her knee yet. Still, it's good to see CMW make the tough call that's best for the team. Now, IMO, she needs to make another tough call and put in somebody to serve for Kennedy Martin.
