Ongoing UF Softball Commentary

They certainly look to be the class of the league this year. No weaknesses really. glad Aub. misses them..

 

Number 17 today. To move up in the RPI, we need, in my opinion, to win both with USF; to win at least one at Tennessee; 1 of 2 with FSU; sweep Ole Miss; 2 of 3 at Kentucky.

 

Assuming we do what Scrappy says. We do not want the 16, 15 or 14 seed. We have zero chance at OU. UCLA or OK ST. We saw what UCLA did to us at a neutral site and Kenny now owns his ex head coach. OU goes without saying.

With our current pitching staff the Gators have zero chance of making it to the WCWS. Now, if Ava Brown and Kaegan Rothrock decide to start their college careers in Knoxville this weekend it is a completely different animal. Not only will they get to the WCWS they will win it.

 

Time is running out on that. I hope we make it, but EH and Rylee can't do it all.

 

The high on Sunday is 55 degrees. Not good. Gators don't do well in cold weather.

 

In reference to Alyssa Hovermale and Ariel Kowalewski, does anyone know what positions they are projected to play? Is Kowalewski a catcher? Is she good enough defensively to come in and take the job as a freshman? I’m thinking Mia comes in and assumes the 3B position for the next 4 seasons. I’ll save more discussion about next years team until after the season ends, but lots of intrigue and options.

 

I don’t believe in absolutes period whether 0% or a 100%. The Gators didn’t look great last season but like ocala said only SEC team to make it last year. It’s all about getting hot at the right time. If the offense can stay on the uptick that’ll cover some of the pitching issues.

I respectfully disagree. We are The Florida Gators, and through all kinds of weather, we all stick together. We do not fear anyone. Period.

Someone please explain to me why TW has not had one after game press conference this year. I can't be believe he didn't get in front of the microphone with Skylar on Friday to celebrate her fantastic record setting day.

 

If there's no member of the press who wants a conference, then there's no conference to be had. As far as we know, CTW goes and stands in the empty press room after each game.

 

What? Too soon to start believing in the magic!?
