I’ll be at the softball game Saturday and respectfully ask those around me to keep the bball score to themselves then watch the taped version when I get home. Hope springs eternal
I think the other way around. Let Rothrock go through her usual pre-game starting progressions to really get back in the groove, then bring in Oxley late. There's no knowing what the future holds and I think this game is enough of a resume builder that a W could be very helpful later. A couple of months ago, I spent a small fortune on FSU tickets and had a few regrets considering the hole they made in my wallet. But now it's all worth it to be at the first home game after the announcement and be able to stand and applaud her in person.
Schedule update: Updated Schedule Friday, April 4 - Game One - 6 p.m. ET (SEC Network+) Saturday, April 5 - Game Two - 4 p.m. ET(ESPNU) Sunday, April 6 - Game Three - 2 p.m. ET (SEC Network+) Softball wants to avoid the conflict with men’s basketball to allow fans to see both
When there is a conflict, I have a special piece of cardboard to cover ESPN channels score banner. I’ll have to re-work it for CBS. Probably smart to watch UF-AU as announcers unlikely to talk about softball score. Going to be a great night. Two games. A few beers. Maybe some air fried riblets and corn.
Gator SB is now ranked No. 2 behind Texas Which team takes the top spot after Week 8? The Top 25 college softball teams
I love all Gator sports! However the order of preference: Football Men's basketball Gymnastics Softball/baseball tied Volleyball Women's Basketball Then tennis, golf, LAX, track, swimming ... I try to watch them all.. Go Gators
My List: Softball - 1A Football - 1B Men's Basketball Baseball Volleyball Gymnastics Golf (Both) LaCrosse Women's Basketball Soccer Tennis (Both) Swimming/Diving (Both) Track & Field (Both) Cross Country
Gators now second or third depending on which poll you read. If KR hadn't been out, I think Gators would unanimously be #1.
Keep in mind, Basketball and Football pays the bills and softball is a big revenue negative, so if you want softball to continue, you need basketball and football. In Conclusion - Basketball is vastly more important than softball! Just in case: UF Women’s Softball $-2,324,970 Net Profit/Loss ... On the money side of things, the UF women’s softball program brought home $831,918 in revenue and paid out $3,156,888 in total expenses. This is a bit of a downer since it means that the program lost money, $-2,324,970 to be exact. You want in interesting read: University of Florida Athletics Programs
