VT pulled off an amazing triple play against Stanford. Should be sports center top 10.

 

The Keagan interview after her first start since February 22nd.:

 

We have another SUPERSTAR in Jocey Erickson. She commands our pitchers, helps them grow and she contributes at the plate. I’m defiantly in her corner.

 

I think we have a superstar with Oxley also. Now that Keagan is backish (not sure they’ll let her take on Friday starter role just yet) the entire pitching staff can play the role that was expected of them preseason and I think that makes everyone more comfortable. Pitching, defense and the offense even.

 

Definitely some bumps along the road with pitching during Keagan’s absence but given the competition the staff held the fort down admirably. I think Red in particular got valuable, early experience that will payoff big time in the long run.

 

The experience our pitchers have gotten over the last 34 days in Keagan’s absence will be paying dividends going forward.

 

Every Gator sports team can learn something about guts by just watching replays of this basketball team.

 

And catcher is now their worst spot probably

 

Basketball again tested our collective hearts’ health tonight.
Gators MBK win 84-79 on a 14-2 run over Texas Tech in the last 3:14 minutes. They had problems with 3s and the winning the defensive boards until the final 3:14 minutes, when they excelled in those parts of their game with Clayton and Haugh leading the way.

 

Jocey is our gain.

Thank goodness she is a Senior and we are not likely to face Auburn in SEC Tournament. I get the feeling her act is orchestrated. She would be a terrible bullpen catcher as it would take forever to warm somebody up.

 

Last year Skylar was the heart and soul of the team. This year I think it is KR. She is like a rock. Even on days she doesn't start she instills a confidence in these ladies for they know she can come in at any time and save the day when things start going south.

 

Did you catch the moment when Red was relieving Keegan? Red hugged Keegan and a great big smile and a look of relief came on her face. WOW! Keegan’s return was what this team needed. Congratulations and Thanks to Keegan!

 

This BS should not be allowed, and hopefully a rule change is forthcoming. If you can't throw the ball back to the pitcher then YOU CAN'T PLAY CATCHER
