On this most important subject of uniforms I’m wondering if I should wear my Gator mafioso track suit again? lol

I still think a lot of strikes weren’t called but yeah the umpire yesterday was much better than the game 1 guy. I can generally live with an atrocious strike zone as long as the zone is the same for both teams.

Thanks for sharing this. My broadcast shut off immediately after the game and didn’t show the interview.

I thought the turning point for the Gators was in the 1st inning getting off to a good start by scoring 4 runs. To me, the offense won this game.

This video shows the turning point Ava needed after giving up 2 walks and a pitcher throwing error in the same inning which allowed aTm's first two runs to be scored.

Texas A&M is a good team. Ava giving up 4 runs to a top 5 team in a hostile road environment is quite the accomplishment.

Agree. And 2 of those runs were unearned.

OK - Where are those doubters who said Kara Hammock would never be a viable contributor in SEC games?? The contrast between Oxley's rise ball and screwball and Kara's drop ball and power kept the Aggie hitters off balance those last 3 innings. When Hammock maintains her control and isn't walking people, she's an excellent picher. Coach Walton had confidence in her today, and she proved her worth. great job.

I hope she keeps proving me wrong, I want the gators to win more than to be right about that.
    Great series win.

Was just perusing other sec scores and saw that ole Miss took their series from the Hogs, but lost game 3 , 20-3..

Worse yet, they only used 2 pitchers to give up 20 runs. The relief pitcher gave up 15 runs, only 8 earned but damn. Give the girl a break.

I didn’t think she’d see much action in SEC play but she was excellent today and proved me wrong! She’s got really nasty stuff when she can get it in the strike zone. I hope this is a huge confidence boost for her. Really impressed with the team this weekend, great series win on the road against a tough opponent!

After just a handful of sec games watched, we appear to be in the best position in terms of pitching which is crazy after basically having 1 pitcher carry like 60% of the load. Aggies have 1 pitcher, period. While she was effective she wasn't efficient by any means. Gonna be tough for them to win series like that. Looks like Georgia is rolling with Backes every other game and Tennessee really isn't much after Pickens. I hope this added depth gets us what we need this year.

The wedgie forces stuff so far up that it needs to get pounded back down with a bat to the head. It's the only way.

It was clear that she had great stuff when she could control her pitches. She just loses control far too often. Her control issues showed today, but she, and her teammates handled it very well. Good for her and her defense!!

Yall OU fans are having a meltdown lol. Telling you their pitching will not holdup. Landry is out this weekend but her and Smith have been their best 2 to start the season. I don't think SC has enough pitching to hold them off though.

I tend to also look at it as players grow and improve as they play more games together, as the season progresses..
I am very proud of our team..

I agree. Both SC and Oklahoma are the same tbh. Good offense but no true ace that can shut teams down. Only hope for OU will be Landry. I think that is the biggest difference for OU this year. Previous years they had a shutdown pitcher who could come in and shut down the opposing team rally.
