If you want to keep up with SB, you also have to look for the pertinent information.
That is what the rest of us do.
I am most interested in SB and appreciate what you post in Gym and VB., but I don't gripe about what you do or do not post.
If you want to be an expert in all 3, then research all 3, and don't think we owe you any news.

I've mentioned on various forums about the use of player nicknames that 80-90% of even engaged members probably don't know. Or, posting photos of athletes without noting who they are. It's probably most common here. Maybe best to remember your posts are read by GC'ers with varying levels of player engagement. Or to be safe, assume there will be a few newbies viewing your posts. Sharing is caring.

 

USA takes down Italy in a five inning run rule, 7-0. This was Meghan Faraimo and Jessie Warren's day. Faraimo went five giving up 2 hits, striking out 9 and hitting one batter. Warren had 4 rbis on a home run and bases loaded clearing double. Janae Jefferson had two hits. Amanda had a ground out rbi. Alo had a ground out rbi. Brady had a ground out rbi. Next up tomorrow morning at 8:00 eastern is China.

 

Since I'm falling behind. A couple more video clips. Taylor had another home run today in the first game. Waiting to see if they play more today. In the meantime, the first from her two home run game yesterday. A jack to right:

 

In the meantime, I mentioned a week ago that a kid by the name of Jindal, on the Batbusters caught my eye and I would start over with the season to run her stats to see if my impression seemed correct. I'm only half way through but I am convinced this 16 year old, 2026 recruit, playing elite 18U ball is the real thing. As impressive as anything I've seen. Tim has got to be on the phone with her inviting her to visit at 12:01 AM on September 1. This kid has power. This kid is a flyer:

 

And I sure hope Taylor is just pounding on this Jindal kid. And, as ex-Batbusters, Amanda and Jocey also.

Actually, I think that is the Batbuster's home field and it is all expensive artificial turf. Opinions vary regarding artificial turf but I don't think they are taking the cheap way out.

 

Wrong. I looked it up. Chino Hills is in San Bernadino County. That is a community field. Batbusters are from Orange County.

 

As Ocala said, USA beat China today 6-0 and we go on to play Japan tomorrow. A surprise in this tournament has to be the Netherlands. They appear to have a solid pitcher. They won their first two and almost beat Japan today and they have moved on to the next round. Anyway, I can fill out some of the details of today's game. Ally Carda started in the circle and went four giving up one hit, hit one, and struck out four. Rachel Garcia went that last three giving up no hits, no walks and striking out five. At the plate, Brady was 2-2 with a double, single, HBP, walk and 2 rbis. Alo was 2-4 with a single, double, and 2 rbis. Jaquish was 2-2 with two singles, a walk, and 2 rbis. Amanda is 0-8 in the tournament although she has smoked the ball about five times with nothing to show for it. She does have a couple runs scored and a couple rbis. Her last AB today in the 7th she flew out to deep center and you could see her show a little frustration.

 

Taylor jacks another bomb to right. This from yesterday. They are still playing today so I'll wait on that. For what it is worth, and clearly just a matter of opinion, this looks like a nice field to me. Anyway, Taylor can bomb to left. Taylor can bomb to right. Doesn't matter.

 

You’re making me a big Taylor fan. I am impressed with her accomplishments!

 

Both Batbusters and Batbusters-Black were eliminated yesterday. Batbusters eliminated Batbusters-Black in what I am guessing was the quarterfinal. Athletics Mercado eliminated the Batbusters 5-4 in what I am guessing was the championship game. Not positive on either label. Anyway, Taylor went for the tournament in 7 games 12-21 with 10 runs scored, 11 rbis, 4 doubles and 5 home runs. She has the Alliance championship tournament left for her travel career and then off to Gainesville. For the season, in 42 games, she is 68-105 (.648) with 61 runs scored, 42 rbis, 23 doubles, 2 triples, 15 home runs, 16 walks, and only 8 strike outs. I'll get around to making video clips of her two home runs yesterday.
