According to D1Softball there are 9 ranked teams that have freshman pitching duos. Ava & Keagan are 9th. These two girls were rated the best of the best coming out of high school. They started the season like they were the best but over the last month things have gone south. Hopefully next year will be much better.

 

They are ranked about right.

 

Yall always get the stats lol. Send article. Are the teams with the freshman duos doing majority of the pitching. Rothrock and Brown are going to take their lumps this year. Walton said way back that this was going to be their worst year of their career. Just can’t jump ship on them yet.

 

Are the other duos pitching in the SEC and do they have upperclassmen pitching support?

 

I felt the change was needed at the time. The funny thing about hindsight is coaches don’t have that luxury. That crap is reserved for you and me. Hindsight

 

Please explain this ranking. Is it saying that the Florida pitching duo is ranked last out of the 9 ranked teams with freshman duos? What are the other 8 teams?

 

Wow. Armchair coaching and I’ve done it myself but. I’m going to put things in perspective and eagerly awaiting your response. CTW came to Gainesville in 2006. In two years he built and recruited a team that went to 4 WCWS in a row and two finals. 2009 finals was before my time but I saw 2011, ASU didn’t win that championship, it was gifted to them by corrupt umpire Chris Drumm. Two national championships, second fastest to 1000 wins, coach of the year, pro team coach and US national team coach. You know better than him huh?

 

All the SEC titles to boot!

 

Idk what ranking you are looking at but I don’t believe it matters. I wish our pitching numbers were better but postseason is a clean slate. Go Gators!

 

I see 5 teams in the top 25 that have two freshman pitchers on their roster, including us. Not even sure they pitch or how much. I’m not going to look at stats to see lol. So not sure how we could be ranked ninth …

Even the best make mistakes. Tonight he made a mistake. His accomplishments are amazing. Doesn’t mean he hasn’t ever made a mistake.

 

Making mistakes is a part of being human. So tell me, with your vast experience in D1 coaching and your deep knowledge and personal experience with the present roster what would you have done differently tonight against FSU?

 

I would have left brown in a little longer to see if she could have worked her self out of two runners on. We’ve seen her do it before lol. Got to let these girls work through some adversity. I’m not here to argue with you and I’m not going to argue with you. Everyone has an opinion. And I have said mine. Go gators!
