Reality check. Imagine this team without Skylar!

 

Skylar is such a mentor for this team, the girls look up to her. Then you add in Charla and Francesca, and this team cannot stay down very long.

 

OK, this is off subject. I am considering going to Friday night’s game and Saturday’s game. When you all stay in Athens, where do you stay? I want to book reservations for Friday night somewhere.

 

Speaking of Skyler, how cool is it that she's an advertisement on the side of a bus!

 

These softball rankings are ridiculous. LSU is #7 & Gators #12. LSU is 1 & 5 in their last 6 SEC games and Gators 3 & 3. LSU has scored 5 runs in their last 6 SEC games and Tenn shut them out 3 in a row. Florida took the series from LSU but they are rated 5 spots above us. Seams fair to me. Not.

 

I got in at the Hampton Inn on Broad Street for Friday Night.

She pitched 3 years for Texas A&M. She is not playing this year to get her head straight.
One year of eligibility is left.
After looking at her stats, she may be the Liv Dunne of Softball.

Gators being punished for playing cream puffs at the beginning of the season. Fact still remains Florida is 9 & 5 against top 25 & LSU is 9 & 7.

 

Just play the game and not worry about anything else. Too many “what ifs”. As far as Skylar goes, she’s too good not to overcome the slump. She is experiencing that high level of softball failure percentage right now. It happens. Also, everyone studies her, which is a compliment. Anyway, my point is that she will be fine.

 

I hadn't even heard of DSR until you mentioned it a couple of weeks ago. I Google'd and it does seem better. You don't get punished for beating a crappy team (unlike RPI). When you win (or lose) the margin of victory is taken into account. Does seem better. Plus it seems to always rank UF higher.

Yes and no. Everyone agrees that we are exceeding expectations and have great comradery. Who's to say that CTW wasn't a genius in having us play "cream puffs" at the beginning of the season, building confidence and team chemistry. We may not be at our current W/L in the SEC had the team not come together as it has.

 

This is the best team chemistry I’ve seen in awhile. This is a special team.

 

She was a pretty decent pitcher if I remember right.

 

I think part of it also is for some reason the media has been all for LSU this year. Thinking because they had so many seniors they'd be a Contender. This same group that has consistently not made it out of regionals.

 

Its the same situation with Georgia about why they were so hyped due to their vetereans except theirs is a little more warranted as they have had more success. Their lineup can explode at any time.... it's been quiet for most of sec play though.

 

Skylar has been knocking on the door for awhile now. Let’s hope tonight she kicks it down and goes on a rampage down the stretch!
