That was even better live on my 65" LG. This was a terrific game from start to finish. Both teams will be outstanding additions to the SEC in 2025. The sooners have an obnoxious swagger that comes from knowing they are the best in the nation, almost unbeatable. I'm glad the shorthorns won the game and proved the sooners are beatable.

I watched it live and probably would have thrown something through the tv if they had called that obstruction. As I understand the rule change, which has only minimally corrected the absurdities of obstruction, if the throw leads the defender into the base path and if the runner is clearly out, no obstruction should be called. They got it right.

FYI....Lexie Delbrey is the #3 pitcher on the Louisiana staff with an ERA of 4.09 but only 25 innings pitched. Sam Roe has the 5th highest BA on the team 327. She has turned out ok but not great. Wasn't she one of the 2 or 3 highest rated recruits in the nation? She left high school with a year of eligibility left. I wonder if that hurt her softball career.

They should have been beat by more last night anyway if not for that review of the runne leaving early. OU is beatable and I love seeing it. I'm not denying how good they are but the attitude like you jsut mentioned jsut turns me off of them. I'd like to see our girls play them right now actually. I think they'd have a good shot.

If off subject I apologize but I’m going to try and see my first ever game at KSP later this season. Any advice on parking and how early to arrive from you veterans? Currently eyeing the FSU game but no set date atm.

I hope that the team is able to bounce back from today. I know its going to take me awhile. Fans in shock -- I've never experienced such a quiet crowd leaving KSP.

We were ONE STRKE away from taking the series. Not just one out away, but only one strike away from game over. Fans were on their feet for the final out and the rhythmic clap for the third strike. Batter -- with two strikes -- bounced the ball off the center field fence.

Maybe its all my fault. I was thinking, series win over LSU, possible series sweep tomorrow, definitely move up the ranking.....Super Regional Host, here we come! Maybe my counting chickens before they hatched jinxed us and made the wheels fall off.

I've been to almost all the games for a long time; I think this ranks up there with one of the biggest punch to the gut ever. We had it won -- one strike was all we needed.

Definitely not your fault mate. Only one strike away from victory but we were pitching to a batter we should have intentionally walked imo. And if the offense had done more sooner wouldn’t have been in that situation in the first place. CTW is challenging our young pitchers and sometimes they have fallen a bit short but experience in these situations cannot be replicated in practice and I believe the irl experience gained now will pay massive dividends later this season and undoubtedly in the years to come. Personally I’d have played it safe and walked her. I’ve also zero coaching accomplishments to my name lol. This was a gut punch, I want to see our kids respond tomorrow night and take the series!

Johnny cakes I expect you to get the crowd fired up early tomorrow! Go find Kelsey Horton if she’s still in town and break out rally gummy’s!

Texas beat Oklahoma again today, 2-1. Same score as last night.

I think the race to the title is wide open. OU is a phenomenal team no doubt but this season they are "human" and not to mention is nearly impossible to win 3 in a row let alone four in a row. I think Texas, Tennessee, (me wishful thinking) Florida, OK state are all teams who can compete for the national title.

This scenario is what makes the game cardiac fun! Even though the Gators came up short, they were in it to win it until the very end. I would watch this type of game over a run rule any day. I’m so impressed by the composure of our freshman pitchers. This is a win in my book!

When football team looses posters get ballistic. When softball team looses Diamond Gators are supportive. Kudos to you people. That is the way it should be and one of the reasons this is such a good message board. Also, thank goodness for Title lX. Most of the our women's sports teams are really really good.

So, one got away, big deal, not. With our youngsters, the team is still on a learning curve. UF has had far more highs than lows.

Good news today is UF moved up to #8 in the Softball America ranking. The folks around the nation have been awakened to the fact UF is a team that will have to be dealt with and isn't going away. UF gets to add another win over LSU today, USF on Wednesday, and a sweep at Missouri next weekend as the Gators continue to rise in the rankings.

There is a new #1 team too, Duke, but I'm not buying it.

Diamond Sports Rankings (DSR) has LSU #1 as of this morning, Florida at #9. Win tonight and we move up a little more.

You must not remember the 2016 Super Regionals at home against Georgia. That is my worst gut punch.
It ended the careers of Aubree, Kirsti, Kelsey, Taylor Schwarz, and Taylore Fuller.
