    I'm sorry if I didn't relate this.
@GatorLegend came down and sat with us for a good while. It was great to meet him and talk about Gator stuff.
We want to meet more of you but do not know what you look like.
@sandman70 is the big white noggin, and I am the bald head.

For these “preseason” type tourneys, I’m actually for it. No reason for these games to into crazy extra inning fiascos that mess up timelines for the rest of the tourney. Weather can be enough of an issue already. I’m even for it in the conference tourneys. During the conference season, I’m more indifferent, but probably still lean towards just getting the games done. Once the regionals start, I don’t like it. Make the winners win it outright without the cheat codes.

Part of the rules stated in advance for any particular tournament. If you watch travel, it is almost a guaranteed rule for every tournament. That plus many travel tournaments have a "drop dead" time regardless of the status of the game.

I'm going to take a wild guess here and posit that the people at Ole Miss are currently crying into their beer. GGKZ4JiXEAEW62I.jpg

I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some beer crying as well at Louisville and Oklahoma. FYI: Sam Roe is batting 200 at Louisiana and Lexie is 2 & 0 with an ERA of 1.31. The most amazing stat is she hasn't walked anyone as of yet.

Hey Roger, it was great to finally get to meet you, Sandy and Loren. Enjoyed talking Gator sports with you guys and you guys are truly great Gators! I hope to see Sandy in Jacksonville tomorrow for our game with the Dolphins. By the way, I was sitting behind home plate but in the shade most of the time on Sunday. My wife looked over at y’all on the first row and said, Scrappy and the boys must be burning up down there! It got really hot on Sunday!

I think I commented here right after Kyle’s 15 minutes on “The Tailgste” that he was blowing smoke to Pat and Jeff on Keagan. After seeing Keagan demonstrating her warm up routines in the “First Pitch on the Diamond”, I knew she was ready to go. Her 17 innings showed us that she was more than ready. Keagan can pitch!

It was a wild and crazy weekend in Louisiana. I caught some of it, particularly the last game against Cal. Sam hit a home run in the first game in her first ab and then went 1-9 the remainder of that game and the next four. Lexie threw only against Chattanooga. She went 1.1 innings in the first game, gave up 1 hit with 2 strike outs but was credited with the win. She pitched a couple games later, also against Chattanooga, and went 4 innings giving up 6 hits and one run. Shockingly, she didn't walk anyone but she did throw 80 pitches in four innings which is a little high and would seem to indicate she went deep into counts. As for the wildness, apparently before the first Cal game (and I didn't see this...just read about it) a couple of the Cal Black players knelt during the anthem and were really over-the-top verbally abused by Louisiana fans to the extent the rest of the Cal players got behind them to shield them from the crowd. I am not tying to make this political and would suggest nobody responds making it political. Just reporting what happened. In the last game of the tournament against Cal, Cal was up 1-0 in the seventh. Louisiana had runners on when a violent rainstorm hit the field. Cal coach pleaded to stop the game but the umps refused. Cal pitcher then threw two straight wild pitches because she couldn't grip the ball. The second wild pitch brought in the tying run and all hell broke loose. A Cal Assistant Coach went ballistic and charged the field, which by the new rule means an automatic ejection. Asst. Coaches can't enter the field to protest. Anyway, there had been bad blood anyway since the first game. The Cal catcher did something I didn't see and a Louisiana player tried to go after her. It was a scene but didn't get much worse than that. I believe the Cal catcher was ejected. Not sure about the Louisiana player. Cal eventually won that last game in extras.

Wish Delbrey would have given the new P coach a chance to revive her game.

Somehow it seems the relationship between her and Coach Walton got broken somewhere/somehow. I wish her well unless she faces the Gators, but it appears it was best for all concerned that she moved on.

It may have had something to do with her injury and her her inability to throw strikes in crucial situations. Also, she might not have wanted to compete with the incoming freshmen.
