Was just checking out Twitter to see if any news going on.. and it seems like Charleigh Esparza was at Gator softball camp. I don't know much about her but says she ranked 11 in class of '25.. Nice to see players like that in Gainesville. Tim's gotta keep up the strong recruiting like this year and next. I want OU to be an afterthought when they enter the SEC. "OU? O who?"

Apparently a catcher/third base and a power lifter. Don't know when she was there but it wasn't this weekend because she has a pic with Walton and that can't be with him out of the country. Don't know anything about her or her travel club. She is from Texas. I can think of at least three in Class '25 higher on the list for Walton....Sophia Bordi (pitcher) and Kai Minor from the Batbusters and JoJo Lamar from the Lady Dukes.

Next batter - Sophia Bordi who I mentioned above. This is why we want her. Class '25. She's from New Jersey but goes to California for the summer to play with the Batbusters. Excxellent two-way player. Very good at changing speeds. She has camped with us. Of course, everyone else in the country wants her also.

It just doesn't stop. Taylor's first ab in the first game the next day after the posts I made above. Playing Texas Impact. They figured out how to stop it. They walked her the next two abs. LOL...watch Mike Stith in the third base coaching box. He always turns his back on them when they trot out a home run. All of them...not just Taylor. Never congratulates them. As if he is saying, "well, isn't that what you're supposed to do?" I take it back...watching again...he actually did clap for her before turning his back.

England is tough in the World Cup qualifier for one reason: Georgina Corrick. She has pitched both games throwing 135 pitches in a 2-0 shutout over Australia and then coming back today to throw 111 pitches in another 2-0 win over Taipei. She also won one of the 2-0 games with a two run bomb. She makes it less than a given that USA will win it all.

I saw a roster, and they had her listed as an alternate. I guess they broke someone's ankle so she could be active.

Think how different the last 4 years could have been if she had gone to UF instead of USF!

Think how horrible a coach Erickson is....he had her for 4-5 years. Did he even make the Supers once? I've never, ever, understood his long run as USA Softball head coach. He survived because he had the best players and for no other reason. While on the subject of brain dead USA Softball, one might think it would be a good idea to have Georgina Corrick on our team so she doesn't play against us and beat us. But, that's far too much to ask from the idiots in OKC.

I think I screwed up Ava Brown's post above. She won the National Player of the Year a couple weeks ago. This one was for Female Athlete of the Year. Pretty darn impressive.
