I like that they already have history playing together. Anybody keeping up with travel seen how she has done?

I think sometimes people must think that button means shut up. I see it used a lot on posts that are not even remotely off topic. I’ve seen one given to Gal while doing her own game thread.

Correct on the group playing for Hotshots. Hotshots' games are much harder to find than Batbusters or Mercado and I haven't seen any yet this summer. Some will be available depending on which tournament they play and certainly the PGF year end tournament will be on Flosports. I don't know if she played high school last couple years. High school stats are fun but need to be taken with a huge grain of salt. These are elite level kids playing against "normal" kids who are grossly overwhelmed. Travel results are much more indicative.

Speaking of travel stats, I have never been able to find any so if anyone knows if they exist, please advise. I have never seen any team that publishes individual player stats. Some teams, very few, don't even publish their roster. Georgia Impact always ticked me off back when they had a couple players I wanted to follow. It was impossible to find their team roster.

Baseball travel team stats were often available for specific tournaments...especially perfect game events. But rarely for a full summer of events compiled. Some programs maintained that info on their sites but most didn't.

Apparently there are or were individual stats on team sites in Gamechanger but you had to have special team access to see them. Now, nobody of any value appears to even use Gamechanger any more. I have searched in the past week for every travel team I am currently interested in and not a single one shows up on Gamechanger.

I am now hoping that Tim has everything set, has a couple arms and a bat along with a great pitching coach all ready to go. Like was suggested yesterday, he's just waiting until the Florida baseball has finished up, as to not steal their thunder. So, Monday at the latest I'm thinking, praying, and hoping.

I'm just not buying that for a number of reasons. His job is to run this team, not cheerlead for baseball. I highly doubt Deifel would stop attacking the portal if Arky was there. Napier is dominating recruiting with major national pub so he isn't concerned about upstaging baseball. I doubt Sully would sit on his hands if the situation was reversed. More than that, since those are just guesses, let's assume he does have a coach lined up and a couple portal kids who have told him they're coming. He tells them to keep it a secret until he wants to reveal it for whatever reason, let alone one like "I don't want to upstage our baseball team". So, these kids are still going to keep getting portal contacts from other coaches. They can either tell the truth and hope they don't reveal the secret or, more likely, they are forced to lead the coach along and not tell the truth. Monumentally unfair to the player and inappropriate and I can't believe Walton would put a player in that position and, if he did, I would think twice if I really wanted to come to UF.

lol....I know the first time you raised this theory a couple days ago, it was "well, this is crazy but since I can't for the life of me come up with a reason for what is going on, or more, what isn't...let's throw this crazy idea out." I think putting the player, in this example, in a very difficult position is important and real. But, for everything I've known about Walton for years is that he is a very decent and upstanding man and would not do that to a player. Moreso, Napier (if not Deifel) is the answer. He has had the best recruiting month the football program has had in many years. All the while the baseball team is making their run. Napier is getting huge national publicity for his recruiting haul. He isn't the least bit worried about taking pub away from the baseball program that is making its own pub by today winning its way to the national championship game. Napier is doing his job. Doing everything he can do to bring his program to the next level. That's Walton's job too.

Good point. Not to mention that success breeds success. Players want to go to where they will win. If we had some shiny transfers to wave around it might attract other transfers. Right now, it kinda looks like the lights are out and no one is home.

I watch Georgina Corrick pitch and I can't help but wonder. She has about 8 pitches. She has four that she throws at different speeds. She is very, very good. I think she has one year coaching, last year, at USF. I don't know if all of that would be enough to pull the trigger but I can see how she could really relate to our three young pitchers coming in and help them develop their game.

Corrick is an interesting thought. Granted she’s young and inexperienced as a coach. As soon as I read your post, I recalled watching her pitch the other night in Athletes Unlimited against the best hitters in the game, and was surprised at her skill set. I liked her college game but she has definitely added some new pitches that have elevated her skill set. Maybe CTW is waiting for this early AU Season to end before announcing.

This is just too funny not to post here. Props to Sully for a sense of humor. (Although it is easier to make fun when you still win even with your massive screw up.) FzKICTUXwAM5d9w.jpg

Ive been lobbying for Corrick since i saw her charting pitches for Ken Erickson in the tournament we were in at USF to start the season. She also called her own pitches so she knows how to call a game.

Well, we keep coming up with our best shot at why nothing is happening.....Tarr hired Gano and Hayward as her new coaches, announced it a week ago, and both are playing in AU. Edit: Oops...replied to the wrong post but you get the point.
