Big difference between ACC hitting and OU hitting and pitching. Skylar should have a 50/50 chance now especially as her UCLA competition was non existent in the first round.

Lake creek suffers their first lost in 2 seasons tonight breaking an 83 game win streak. From my knowledge Ava did not pitch in this game

 

They are something else. Nine pitches later and they put up 5 runs and it was ball game.

 

Ava gets the ball. Winner goes to state.

 

The ace pitching against Lake Creek waived off the strategy to intentionally walk Ava. Big mistake:

 

Plus they are the "home team" thru the whole tournament.

 

Cagle pitching against OK with a 3 run lead in top of the 7th, 2 outs, 0-2 count and gives up a 3 run homer to tie the game.

 

You are playing OU. They will find a way to win. A three run lead is great for us mere mortals.

Cagle took both losses in the circle giving up 12 runs in 7 innings. Bahl on the other hand went 8.1 and gave up one earned run. I don't know if Skylar gets POY but Cagle's performance has to help her. Perhaps the decision has already been made and it doesn't matter. I have no idea how the decision is made.

 

Someone mentioned some time ago that Brown and Rothrock will be facing each other in some sort of all star game this summer. Does anyone know what the event is called. It would be great if it could be streamed. It would be the first time I watched a game in which I hoped nobody would get a hit.

 

PGF All American game from California sometime in late July. Mia, Keagan and Cassidy are on the East team. Ava is on the West team. The other game is the "Futures" game. Layla Lamar and Gabi Comia are on the 2024 team. Jo Jo Lamar is on the 2025 team. We are the only school with four in the primary game. Both games will be on tv.

 

Another Gator commit is showing out. She is nicknamed Red. I can't imagine why.

Was really glad when UF landed her committment.....it's a good class in state for pitching but she really seems to be a gamer.
